Guys,
Decided to purchase microsoft flight sim in steam instead of redownloading my copy through the microsoft store.
Download went perfect install updates but noticed all my purchases are gone… like l have never bought from the market place.
Any ideas why l`m logged into my account but nothing.
Thanks
Paul
Are you logged in to the same account in your Steam as in your Microsoft Store?
No my name is a little different
But in flightsim l`m logged into my microsoft account
Q: Is there any differences between the Steam and Microsoft Store version?
A: There is no difference. The sim shares the same multiplayer world and services. However, content is tied to the platform you are playing on—if you purchase a DLC on Steam, you cannot transfer it to the Microsoft Store version and vice-versa.
But if l go to my content l should see my purchases lol might have to get a refund.
Thanks guys
we not buy a DLC over Steam… we only buy “credits” which are then used , outsiode of steam, to “buy in background” the content within the store ( or in Asobos backend ).
But I’am not sure whether a different kind of “id linking” exist for such content. Otherwise it sounds a bit strange why @boeingqa not see its content if he login into msfs with the same xbox-user.
The only disadvantage ( if any ) I known if you buy a game from Steam was, that you can not play it on xbox gaming console. On other side you will never see all these MS-Store/Gameing-Services issues you can read here in forum
Hello @boeingqa,
All Marketplace purchases are shared on your account between Xbox, Xbox Cloud Gaming, and the MS Store version of Microsoft Flight Simulator on PC. Items are not shared to the PC/Steam version since Valve (not Microsoft) manages those purchases.
Thanks,
MSFS Team
DLC = download credit. what you bought on steam, even when using the same user id is not available as owned if you switch to Fs2020 on ms store marketplace/ xbox/ it sucks but thats how it is…
Hi guys thanks again,
l think providing you do your purchases through the market place with the same loggin it should be there… Microsoft needs to look into this l personally this is sooo wrong. Anyway was very lucky l got my refund from steam.
DLC is normaly a „Downloadable Content“, therefore I mentioned we not buy a DLC like e.g. for DCS or Xplane. We buy only Credits.
I not exactly understand the technical hurdle which @SeedyL3205 mentioned and which prevent that same user-id not can see the content ( I have an idea, but not sure ). At least I was allways a bit sceptical because in special as a Steam users have absolutly zero “traceability” what I own. The only think I can proof is, that I bought at a day X an amount of Y credits for the flightsim.
