I have a Dell Alienware I7 8700@3.26ghz, Ram 32GB, 1070ti. Looking for any thoughts on improving clarity/sharpness. Runs on High-End/Ultra on monitor but not on the Quest 2 d very clear at all and I understand VR is different.
I’ve been skewering the internet for help and had a few tweeks but can’t get the clarity/sharpness of cockpit/outside very good. It looks like I’m looking thru glasses really smudged up. The experience is great, but looking for that potential switch or two to clear things up even a bit? It’s so close to being acceptable. I have a USBC-USBC 3.1 plugged into the high-end usbc slot that does 10mb/sec or something, the best one, so figured that was issue as used the charger cable which I think is 2.0 just to start out but didn’t really clear things up. Render around 70 and fairly smooth. Great internet speeds and RAM solid. Just looking for thoughts and appreciated.
The link cable is capable of 5gbs, yet the best performance I’ve seen is a transfer rate of 2.3gbs. I get an average of 2gbs with an identical cable set up to yours. Therein I suspect is part of the problem.
Right around 1.8-1.9. I set inside oculis pc app, the refresh to 90hz and upped the rendering and if I move it way up, it does really clear things up there but then really choppy. This was the setting that did really clear up cockpit gauges and outside though. Thanks for input. I’ll keep digging, gotta be a switch or two to clear up
Thanks Migulein72!
I sniffed thru that video and also noted the comment from TheFoyalais above.
So far, for sure, it seems the Foyalais steps are big improvement, I can get clouds on a 1070 pretty good and fps solid. Visuals are “so so” but definitely better by far! can see cockpit fairly well too.
I’m curious, but thinking setting game into windowed/800x600/lowend is a big key since takes GPU processing way down (not a big techy to understand this but assume so)
I can’t visually see if the FOV changes work, but assume they are
