But keep in mind that CoD Moder Warfare 2 is still in early access and will officially release on October 28. So, expect the CoD numbers go up quite a bit…
Call of Duty and Flight Simulator are two completely different communities. One is niche by nature and you should already have an interest an airplanes to get the most out of the game
The other you can just be violent for hours and hours for entertainment.
**** of Dooty will always have more players. That’s why there’s 20 some odd games in the series
I know they are different games, that is not the case in my question…

Call of Duty started in 2003. MS Flight Simulator started in January 1979 for the Apple II and January 1980 for the TRS-80. MS Flight Simulator 1.0 was released in november 1982, this is 21 years before CoD…
I’m in MS FS scince MS FS5…just for curios… how many we are?
We don’t normally share our internal metrics such as player counts, but after the first four months of release on PC (Aug-Dec 2020), Jorg posted to Xbox Wire saying there have been over two million unique MSFS pilots. Obviously that number has grown in the two years since that report, especially after we released on other platforms such as Xbox Series X|S and Xbox Cloud Gaming.
We know the flight simulation genre is always going to attract a smaller, more niche audience compared to something with broader appeal like a popular FPS or action game, but we’re very grateful to all our players and immensely thankful to the community who have made Microsoft Flight Simulator a great success.
To be honest this information isn’t really public. Asobo doesn’t have to disclose it. Just like a traditional corner shop doesn’t disclose how many visitors it gets to the public.
