my Xbox X broke and it’s too costly to replace. The S versions are less but still pricey for me at the moment. So I’m enjoying MSFS on xcloud, but the quality of the ground (rendering and draw distance is poor). Any tips to improve that?
Also, is it beneficial to play xcloud from a console directly? If I were able to rebuy a console sometime. I’m thinking I’d still do streaming to avoid download times and I like playing from different devices on the go with gamepass. I never got Xbox console remote play to work well.
Also noted that I have 400mbps WiFi and I did try Ethernet on my old Xbox X and the performance was no better. And the marketplace does work on xcloud so addons work
thank you very much for suggesting this. I haven’t heard it before but I am trying it out on a day pass now and wow, much much better, both the visuals, making use of my full screen, and the overall performance and sign in process, plus additional graphics options. Moreover I can play more games than what xbox gamepass offers and it allows access to the PC marketplace so faster access to new msfs releases vs on xbox. this is amazing.
Now I can scrap gamepass subscription if I buy MSFS to have in my library, so then only paying for the GEForce each month.
You are welcome. I was lucky, I had a 4K TV so it really looks good. If you are OK with only having purchases from the MarketPlace and limited peripheral support (more is coming) then all good.
I bought FS24 and a years subscription, personally I think it’s great value for money and the fact it runs the PC version of FS gives you access to the developer console which is very handy!
Oh yeah I am okay with marketplace only. Yeah I agree, great value and performance. I have a Mac and a 4k curved monitor. GEForce is actually cheaper than xbox game pass ultimate; albeit you need to own the game to cut out both subscriptions. Which one would do in 2 months time paying for both platforms in order to play, so I’m going to do that
Yes, my thoughts as well - subscribe to GFN & buy the game - it’s cheaper in the long run. I run ETS2 on it too, great platform for that and supports mod downloads too.
Note: Streaming of MSFS data is between the MSFS CDN (content delivery network) and NVIDIA’s host servers, all we are only streaming the screen updates and sending control inputs.
