My System: 9950x3D / 64 Ram / 5090
Screen setup: Triple 4k + 1 Full Hd
Planes I fly: Only Boeing Airliners (ifly 737 Max for now, When PMDG releases their 747 etc i will fly them as well) and using only MSFS2024
I am looking for a solution to have PFD and ND on separate screen.
Air manager does not have what i want.
I do not want to use Spacedesk as it causes issues and not feasible. To pop out to a tablet
I successfully used 9950x3D igpu for pop outs, i lost few fps but acceptable since i fly 60fps max. This is the method i will use if i dont find solution.
I can use e-gpu through usb-c as well not sure if that works like igpu.
Other than these the only solution looks like buying avionics like Prosim, project Magenta or Sim Avionics if they accept. (i think only 737 max is possible in this setup and 747 only Sim Avionics which is commercial). Also prosim allows me to network pfd, md and overhead to sepeeate screens, but i will only have max.
Btw, i have winwing and some other custom panels & peripherals, (streamdeck, Thrusmaster Boeing, Hobeycomb Bravo etc etc). So i have my own customized plug and play home cockpit system attached to my simrig.
I wanted to ask you guys if anyone knows any software which does what i want without programming etc.
I dont have knowledge and time for coding for now. I am an engineer and family & work takes all my time, so i have very limited time left for hobby which limits me only to plug abd play options. Thanks in advance.
When i play 3 x 4k (or Center 4K sides 2k) and use +1 top screen for other stuff like recording, maps or other side apps it causes trouble.
Scaling issues , graphic problems etc.(my setup is 3x48” + 1x27” so for 48 i use Windows scaling 125% or 150% based on what i design for work). I tried last year, i can give it a try again but i am not so hopeful.
In this case i have a question. Do you connect the ipads through cable or wireless?
I used Android tablet and Amazon tablet (with android installed) and connection was wifi (my wifi setup is good enough to handle as i play VR on wifi without problems), but i dont know why i sometimes lost view on my side monitors. Also when i wasn’t using MSFS, i had issues with my monitors when i disconnect spacedesk
At first i thought it is because of my setup being 3 4k screens and 1 full hd but based on spacedesk manual i should be able to add more virtual monitors with spacedesk easily.
Based on what you wrote, i will try again and report back here. Spacedesk will be handy while flying with 747.
Decided to Pop Out on a separate screen using on board gpu and for the overheads i am going to use AirManager on a touch screen which looks like the best and easiest to use multiple boeing setup i can see.
