ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Description of the issue:
Two days ago, sim was working fairly well. Yesterday, Sim gets to 90% loading world data, then only option I get is Quit to Desktop.
I first reset the sim. Nope.
Then I uninstalled and re-installed. Nope…same. I never see the START button.
Ideas of what to try next?

[PC Only] Did you remove all your community mods/add-ons? If yes, are you still experiencing the issue?
I have none added.

FREQUENCY OF ISSUE

How often does this occur for you (Example: Just once, every time on sim load, intermittently)?
Everytime I start the Sim.

What peripherals are you using, if relevant:
Thrustmaster Warthog Joystick and throttle and TT Rudders, mouse and KB.

[PC Only] Are you using Developer Mode or have you made any changes to it?
No changes…after reinstalled same.

[PC, MSFS 2020 Only] Are you using DX11 or DX12?

[PC Only] Many issues may be due to an outdated graphics card. Please state your Graphics Card Driver Manufacturer (NVIDIA, Intel, AMD) and Version:
NVidia 3090 latest drivers.
[PC Only] What other relevant PC specs can you share?
14900, 128 Gb RAM, and running on a 990Pro Samsung drive.

all it shows is the background screen with only a Quit to Desktop option.

I had this issue when I copy/pasted all my Fenix liveries from the MSFS2020 community folder to the MSFS2024 community folder. Once I removed them (not the Fenix airplanes themselves), I was able again to see a start button.

Same issue, didn’t change a single thing in the community folder. Tried to start the game several times now, no go, “quit to desktop” is the only element on the launch screen.

• My camera won’t turn on. The front screen glows. I can’t reset it in any way. I change the batteries and it doesn’t work. It’s been like this for a few days now.

OK…Have about had it.
I just finished a COMPLETE CLEAN INSTALL of Win11.
Then Installed the sim…Fresh install.
Same result. All I see after starting the sim is the QUIT TO DESKTOP option.
No start for the sim.

I have a 14900, 128 Gb RAM, Sim installed on a Samsung Pro990 NVME, Warthog throttle and joystick, and Thrustmaster T-rudder.

What the hell. I spent 1 1/2 days on my reinstall putting my software back in.

Like I have better things to do rather than doing their troubleshooting, eh?

Tried to launch it just to check something out during my lunch break. Stuck with no option but ‘Quit to Desktop’ three times on the trot.

I can forgive a lot of the issues with more complicated aspects of the sim, but this is absolutely useless.

Not sure this belongs in the ‘Crashes’ section of the Bug Reporting Hub. It would seem to be a User Interface problem.

I started once successful earlier today after the patch, but here we are again…

for me, this happens randomly, perhaps 1 in 20 launches. it’s super annoying.
