Radio Changing Frequency On Its Own

This one is kinda weird, at least for me. In the Beech King Air 350, when I try to change radio frequency, I get the one I want and then push enter. As soon as I push it, the radio changes to some other frequency by itself. I changes in both the COM 1 and STBY positions. Why is this happening and how do I get the radio to accept the frequency I want?

Radio Auto-Tune is on. Disable in the Assistance Settings I believe. Or AI is handling Radio operations. You can turn that off using the in-flight menu Top Bar.

Options - > Assistance Options - > AI Radio Communications (ATC)

Since the last update this setting turns on every flight, even when I turn it off on the previous flight. It’s really annoying when I fly with live ATC and forget to turn it off, and right after takeoff my frequency and transponder codes get changed.

Huh, never had this problem. I fly on VATSIM and I don’t find controllers sending me a PM to get back on their frequency nor telling me to check my squawk code.

Yeah my settings look identical to that, but it defaults to on every time. I think I’ve confused a few controllers now by making traffic calls on departure frequency, not having realized the ghost in my plane has fiddled with the radios

Try turning this off, I have never used it myself…

The “AI Radio Communications (ATC)” in that “Flight Assistant” Popup is exactly what keeps turning on every flight. Oddly none of the other ones come on.

Does clicking “Reset Panels” do anything useful?

Ah, I think I’ve fixed it. The “AI Radio Communications” in the assistance menu was already off, but I tried turning it on, saving, and turning it off again, and now the problem seems to be resolved

Happy to hear.

OP does anything mentioned solve your problem?

That’s strange. I’ve never had that problem, with any of the AI Pilot options. I’ve never really used them.

Yes, the suggestions here have helped solve the issue. The radios are functioning as they should. Thanks to all who responded.
