Departing Dutch Harbor, Alaska heading for Adak. Weather wasn’t as bad as I was expecting. Flew the ODP but quickly found myself between layers, which is nice. Sky vector is showing a flight hazard over Sitkin Island today; looks like the volcano is erupting. Too bad the sim doesn’t capture vulcanism!

Atka Island and the Korovin Volcano.

Down at Adak after shooting the ILSZ RW23. Landing was a bit tricky with a 13KT 70 degree crosswind. Rudder pedals would have been very useful. Next stop is Eareckson Air Station on Shemya Island.
