It is 4700nm but afaik the absolute maximum was round about 1000nm.
4700nm would be ferry range (ie without an operational payload). At a guess, with a maximum payload, the aircraft won’t be able to carry a full load of fuel.
I did a 5994nm flight without refueling. Took about 21hrs.
The plane was of course just being ferried, full tanks and empty cargo.
It’s ferry range should be a max of about 8500km so 4700 nm is about right. I wouldn’t be surprised if, like most aircraft in the sim, the range is messed up though which would explain Luis being able to get 6000 nm. Something that’d never happen IRL without some modifications.
The Azurpoly version does have extra fuel tanks, maybe that explains the range?
Maybe. I’m not an expert, but wiki lists 8500km as max ferry range. That would normally include the tanks. It wouldn’t be surprising if it’s off though. Some planes are far different in sim than real life. Some examples that spring to mind are two by Caranado… The Cessna 337 can easily go 1500+ miles and should only go ~1000. The Seminole should be able to go about 1000 but the best I’ve been able to get is a hair over 700. Another example is the Legend Junkers Ju 13. It has about half the range it should. Particularly for the modern version. I don’t think I have any experience with Azurpoly though.
I guess so. But it is an extreme increase. I am fully satisfied with that solution. I just wondered how it will be in real life.
