Reading A Flightplan

Good afternoon forum,

I understand what the following means,

AVG WIND 100/019 - Average wind along the route will be 100 degrees @ 19Kts
AVG W/C P011 - Average wind component along the route will be a tailwind @ 11Kts
AVG ISA P006 - Average ISA deviation for the flight will be +6 degrees

What I am wondering is where is P and M derived from? I know for Wind Componenet P is tail wind and M is headwind.

For ISA, P is positive, what would would be negative? M?

And do P and M stand for anything?

Thanks in advance.

I think I may have been overthinking it, it’s Plus or Minus isn’t it?

Yes, M stands for “minus”

Thanks,

I’m not going to admit how long I pondered that before having an “aha” moment.

Thanks,

And yes I’ve gone over those in the past, It just doesn’t say what they actually mean (what P and M represents).

I have since figured it out, just wasn’t sure at time of posting.
