There are various tools available for recreating the sonic experience of passengers boarding the flight, cabin crew announcements, etc. I would like to get one of these but I’m not sure what’s the best fit for me. I know some have more ground crew comms, others have a commercial management aspect, etc. Really I am interested in whichever will provide me with the best “out of the box” experience for good cabin announcement audio, i.e. I do not have to separately download audio files from somewhere, and it will understand my flight plan and automatically say appropriate things. Anything else like setting cookie prices is a bonus but not a priority. What do people recommend?
PACX is a popular choice.
Has everything built in but also allows you to add custom as well if you choose to.
Self-Loading cargo best for the price with extended gameplay interaction but for only anouncements there free altetnative: LukeAirtool
I have attempted to use Luke Airtool. The developer claims you don’t need FSUIPC unless you want to use the Passenger Simulator part of it (see comment on https://www.youtube-nocookie.com/embed/uEJWAnUZUz8 ) however, all the tutorial videos appear to be outdated (the visuals don’t match what’s in the application) and not only don’t actually tell you how to start up a flight, but the application doesn’t want to let me start one without running Passenger Simulator and whining that I don’t have FSUIPC. Am I doing something wrong or are the official developer’s instructions a lie?
It doesn’t help that the guy doing the V/O on the tutorial videos has a glutinous wet voice which gives me misophonia.
I have just bought Cabby, I personally found it great, suited my needs.
You purchase the basic package one off price..I got 25% discount. Used it on a flight thought it was a great addon. However same a.i voices, but you can choose different languages.
So you can have your husband/wife or even children as your cabin crew or captain, it comes at a subscription price.
Easy to use self explanatory.
Uses A.I with my own voice, recorded 10 seconds, now I hear my own voice as a Captain. However sadly it comes at a cost if using that method subscription based, and it only uses simbrief, so it gives weather and temperature reports at your destination, from your simbrief flightplan, will even do announcements if your delayed.
So its not for everyone
Where do you get the custom sound packs such as British Airways for example?
I got mine (Air Canada) from YouTube.
Just Google “British Airways boarding music” or safety video, etc…
Then Google YouTube to WAV converter. Pick one, paste the YouTube URL in and it will convert it to an Audio WAV file that you can now use with PACX.
Awesome thank you!
PACX is the WORST when it comes to FPS drops. Though all it does is to monitor few sim parameters and play back a bunch of tiny audo files, it drastically drops the FPS (an average of 7 FPS on a 9800 X3D system).
This is tribble, NOT acceptable!
And it only takes Tfdi three+ years to record those extra voice packs… abandonware.
I was using PAXC which was fine until I tried using it in VR. So low that it’s not worth using and since it can’t be viewed in VR, it requests input without being seen.
