Hi, will it work with a RTX 4070ti in 2024? Given how many reports there are of the large jets not working in 24 with suboptimal computers I am nervous about spending money for a plane that will not fly with my rig.

From the PMDG website. Easy to find.

RECOMMENDED
Simulator: Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 or Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020
Hardware: Intel i7 or i9 processor with 8 or more cores operating at 3.5 GHz or faster processor, 16 GB of RAM or higher, a high-performance, DirectX 11 or 12-capable video card with 8 GB or more of on-board, dedicated VRAM. (2080Ti or newer, for example.)

are the more, update around the corner =?

Hi, I totally get your nerves concerning recent large airliner models, and while I don’t share that concern about a new PMDG product, I can share my experience so far with this one (click on my profile for my PC config).

First, and most importantly, I am flying in SU2 beta and have not yet flown in 2020, but plan to do so soon. Next, completed two medium haul flights yesterday since install. Both were excellent for a brand new product. Flies better than the default Boeing Max 8 in 2024, and I have a lot of Max time in SU1 & 2 beta seeing the Max improve. Where smooth flight is concerned, the PMDG product was a smooth performer during my first two flights in 2024.

If you watch some of the YT videos you will see that almost every streamer comments on how easy the 777-200 is on resources. We are extremely frugal with memory. Personally I get 25% better FPS in FS24 in the 777 compared to the default 737max.

A 4070ti should be absolutely fine, but your experience will of course totally depend on your settings. I use a 3060ti on one of my systems and am totally happy with that.

Many. We are currently testing updates (and FS24 compatibility) for the other 777s. The DC-6 is also slowly getting ready for FS24.

if i understand right, are your team started and test B737 800?

No, at this moment our focus is on the 777s updates, but when that is done that team will start looking at the 737s. Now we have delivered our professional version to Boeing we are free to work on the consumer version. We did not want to do those projects at the same time. In the background there was extensive work done on updates for the 737. We will do a new version, not just making the MSFS 2020 version ‘compatible’.

If you want to stay fully up to date, watch these videos and follow the information shared on our forum: https://forum.pmdg.com/forum/main-forum/videos-reviews-and-more/coming-soon-by-pmdg-by-robert-randazzo

I successfully completed the maiden voyage. My very first flight with a 777 ever. Two and a half hours from Paderborn, Germany to Stockholm, Sweden without a hitch. Very nice!

(Wrong route, wrong livery? Well … I still enjoyed it. )

It is seriously great, isn’t it?!

I was hesitant as I don’t generally do the airliner thing, but I might be hooked now.

This is such an incredible simulation. I’m dying to deep dive with it.

Yeah! And I must correct my previous statement about the engines. The GE-90 engines have a much better buzz than the Rolls Royce ones.

Short familiarization flight from KDEN to KSFO this afternoon in FS’24. First airliner flight I’ve made since the SU1 beta, and the longest single flight I’ve made in '24 in a few months. Lovely.

Landing was kind of mid - with that headwind, it felt like I was floating and kind of rolled off the flare a bit, so touched down a bit quicker than I’d like, though at least the G’s were nice and low.

Just completed my first flight, Heathrow to Barbados in the BA liveried RR variant. What a smooth experience. Everything just worked, in true PMDG fashion! Having flown only Airbus aircraft since 2024 came out it was fun to go back to Boeing again, and if you can handle the 737 NG you’ll be pretty familiar with the FMC and systems of the 777.

One underrated feature I think is the time-acceleration. It simply works seamlessly and can shorten an 8 hour flight down to a mere 2 hours if you don’t have a whole day to sim! Just perfect!

Possibly a dumb question: The manual states the UFT can be moved to a couple of different locations, however I’ve not worked out how to actually achieve that.

Anyone know? I’d like to have it by the CDU, while I fuss.

Hmm.. No, I don’t want to undock. I want to physically hold the UFT in one of its alternate locations.

Perfect! Thank you.

(Why that isn’t in the “Moving the Tablet” section of the UFT manual is puzzling.)

Hi Mathijs, is there a chance of this 777 being enabled for Career mode?
