RELEASE: MilViz Corsair for MSFS

I enjoy the Goshawk, and it looks fantastic, but it still sounds like a vacuum cleaner.

Again, the MODEL is ours… but the systems and everything else is on Dino… so please, direct all of those to him.

Yeah, but what about the manual? Is that you or Dino?

Dino. Not us. We ONLY did the model.

Anyway………back on topic.

Re goshawk

Like you said, the manual is really bad

The sound is really bad

The flight model and everything else feel so arcade

I feel like flying an arcade space ship, it takes no skill whatsoever and just very uninspiring

Also the model, the front panel with numbers on it is really bad

The green glass display also doesn’t work well with TAA

I have limited flying hours so why I would choose this fly this over something like WT CJ4, to set the bar low

Release still on for this week?
As I bought direct will there be a notification email or do I have to go some specific place on the milviz site to find it?

Would be extremely interesting to have both variants in the hangar at the same time to do a comparison within the same game session. You think that would be possible or not advised?

It would take some editing of the directory structure and the layout.json’s to make sure file paths are unique between the two. Or CTD’s would likely ensue, or, at least much confusion on the part of MSFS.

I don’t use auto-rudder, it is so difficult to take off, any tips?

Set up 6 degree right rudder and aileron trim and 1 degree up elevator trim. First notch of flaps.

Get lined up and lock the tail wheel.

Now hold full right aileron and probably almost full right rudder and advance the throttle. You don’t want to slam it forward but don’t take long either. Goal is to get the tail up. Expect to dance on the rudder a bit but still holding to the right.

Once you get enough speed you should be able to gently pull back (you should still be holding everything to the right) and slowly gain some altitude. It’s not a jet, just a gentle climb. As soon as you get off the ground you can bring the controls back to center. Raise the gear and flaps. Gain some speed and you should be good to go!

Practice, practice, practice.

Great description thanks!

Is this new version compatible with existing repaints? I loaded one up last night and it looked good but I couldn’t get the engine to start, so I was wondering if these old repaints reference functions of the older version.

The paints should be fine. Not sure why you can’t start it … this the new one?

You cannot/should not have both the old and the new… not and expect support.

I am not 100% sure it will be this week. Monday or Tuesday next is more likely.

look mum, no hands

just a bit forward

oh, look at sock, did i landed here? i’m superpower hahaha

So, one of the stupid things about buying direct from MilViz is their complete lack of awareness when it comes to the customer experience. (Sorry, Colin)

You don’t really receive the e-mail notice when a newer version comes out so you regularly need to monitor the product page to make sure that the version they have there (they always have the date) is not newer than the one you have. Also, make sure that you have a backup of the installer - you are limited to 10 downloads of the product and the anxiety-inducing counter will remind you of that. So, also pray that the product has less than 9 updates through its lifetime. Why they choose to make this experience worthy of gouging your eyes out with a fork, we will never know. But any of my suggestions so far to at least have the customers notified when a new version is released have been met with either resistance or the good old “let’s plug our ears and look the other way” method.

Yeah I deleted the old version before installing new. I will say in that situation I flubbed the start and forgot to advance the mixture, so that might have played a part. I’ll give it another try when I get home, thanks!

Dude are you going through something right now? Your posts have become increasingly spiteful.

No, I am quite fine. As a matter of fact, I am not feeling much negativity at all! You shouldn’t take me so seriously, when I say these things it’s with a bit of humour.

If it wasn’t for you,i would have bought that captain @$@ 777 but when i saw that license thing you mentioned…I didn’t !
Same as now.I also hate not receiving an email for updates.
What do they expect? When i have 100 aeroplanes,to check each purchase for newer versions ?
This is already happening to me with the Goshawk and the MB339 from Sim Market.I get no emails.I always check my orders to see the numbers
