Just released at IniBuilds’ store. Ordinarily I’d say no real competition for Flightbeam’s KIAD but that’s now very old… and BMW/Amsim have been improving with each release.

Hefty price, though.

Plus there are now apparently some pretty serious allegations of misconduct against the BMW part of that dev alliance, levelled by Flightbeam. Maybe google it, search on Avsim or look at Flightbeam’s Facebook page if you want to know more.

Contrail and FSDT now levelling accusations too. But I’m a firm believer in ‘innocent until proven guilty’ so at this stage I’d urge the community to wait for the full facts from both sides before deciding on a boycott.

I concur but the fact that multiple, unrelated businesses level serious allegations against the owner of BMW sure gives me pause. I, for one, will not purchase any BMW products until these accusations have been disproven.

Piracy distribution to intentionally harm competitors is unforgivable in a small/indie developer market.

Looks like iniBuilds has now taken action:

“… Our action taken today While iniBuilds firmly believes in operating on facts, not accusations, we recognize the need for caution while the matter is unresolved. Therefore, we have chosen to temporarily remove all products associated with BMWorld and AMSIM from our store. This action will remain in effect until the situation is fully clarified and a definitive resolution is reached between the parties involved. We are committed to reassessing and making adjustments based on any conclusive findings from this investigation…”

ORBX hasn’t done the same and booted BMWorld off their store seems.

Good move by iniBuilds though.

Also good to see that existing owners of those airports through Ini can still access them. From further down in their statement on the Ini Discord:

Next Steps

  • If the parties involved reach a resolution, we will reinstate their products in our store.
  • If the allegations are substantiated, we will make a permanent removal of these products, with continuous access maintained for previous customers through the iniManager.
