[Released] Bristol 188 "Flaming Pencil" (freeware)

Is there any kind of navigation or any plans to add a toggleable tablet/phone GPS? I’m interested in this plane but it’s so fast it’d be nice to know where I’m at without having to use panels or something else

Hi Disastronought,

There is a compass for direct navigation and you could use the radio to call ATC to request the direction to the airport to simulate ground control and tracking.

I would like to add an EFB or “clipboard” in the future to control the blanks etc and some navigation type map but I don’t know when that would be.

Hi Tyler, the 188 was a welcome addition to xbox marketplace. Its nice to support developers like yourself who cater for a smaller group of flyers wanting vintage British aircraft. A Buccaneer would be nice!

spent the last month enjoying this fabulous aircraft. some handling vices to catch you out but otherwise flies so well. A well made model inside and out no complaints . hope the devs have more to come. if we are requesting aircraft , Sea vixen?
and a fictional livery pack for the 188? (not that the polished isnt great)

This topic has been quiet for a long time. Sorry for picking it up so late but I really like this plane. One problem since one of the latest updates though. XF926 variant seems to not be responding to nose steering at all. Nose turns in outside view but the plane does not turn. The other variant (XF923) works fine but is MUCH slower.
Any suggestions on fixing the nose wheel steering?

Hi BartZiemski,
I will check on the nosewheel steering issue.
Do you mean that XF923 is much slower in the air on in steering?

Hi. I mean one does not steer on the ground at all and the other one is much slower on the air. I though that was weird but thought maybe one version was slower irl

Hi BartZiemski,

Thanks. The nosewheel steering was a bug and will be corrected on the next update.
XF926 was much faster than XF923 as it was more streamlined and had more powerful engines.

Great news. Can’t wait. Will the warning lights work again? Right now I don’t see any of them light up. Maybe it’s my settings but I tried different ones with no success.
PS. I didn’t want to complain about it since the plane is really nice
