I am a happy customer. This F-4 package is worth my sacrificing other mods/liveries in order to purchase it from the Marketplace. Although I still waited until the initial update was released, it appears that the Marketplace now releases DC Designs updates in a timely and predictable manner.
I was apprehensive about adding the individual weapons reactivation files (3 additional mod files - one for each E, J, GR respectively), but there are only about 3 more DC Designs aircraft that I expect to be released before MSFS 2024. Hopefully, MSFS 2024 will allow more than the roughly 1024 Official and Community mod files, so I can purchase addons and install freeware indiscriminately again.
Since I’m only a casual simmer, I really like how DC Designs implemented the autopilot controls, as I like to look at the MSFS scenery while following my flight plan. Although it appears we have to manage climb and descent changes manually as expected, it also appears that these F-4s have similar pitch/attitude contol as modern fly by wire aircraft. The aircraft maintains a set attitude upon release of stick pressure and without the use of elevator trim - unexpected, but nice to have.
Since the weapons activation files were updated prior to the update for the F-4 itself on the Marketplace, I made the purchase. The Marketplace works - at least on PC for DC Designs
Is there a direct link to the manual anywhere ?
I am specifically after a cockpit layout diagram if one exists …the only manual I can find on line so far is a bit light on this.
(At work here so do not have access to MSFS folders!)
Probably not much help for Dean’s particular model necessarily (since there’s so many versions of the plane), but, there’s a ton of POH’s for the Phantom here…
Any one else notice a bug that displays a red X hovering under the nose of the aircraft after the gear has been retracted? Happens to me regardless of the livery since the last F-4 update (PC). Doesn’t happen on the Xbox.
Anyone else having a problem where the red chain attachments for the nose gear are always visible. This is for all the models. It could very well be user error on my part. Toggling the chain switch doesn’t help.
