You can delete any of the visual effects files from your Community Folder. One of the main benefits of purchasing from our website is that you get 100% access to all files used, no encryption.
Otherwise, if you don’t want to mess with your package, I highly recommend purchasing the Marketplace version once it’s released. That version will contain zero weapons including visual effects like gunfire. That said, there is no harm in deleting files. We do not limit your re-downloads so you can re-download it over and over again if needed (or if you lost a file).
There no easy switch in this release that turns off effects. These are core features and we have hand selected which visual effects are transmitted locally vs multiplayer. However, removing any of the effect files will remove the ability on your system to display them in all instances.
