Im am stumped. Reinstall didnt help. I guess ill stick to the Kodiak
Shame to give up
Maybe get some help and support from Raul on his discord? My guess is that he would be only too happy to help you
Please, open EFB click settings, click reset.
Check your circuit breakers afterā¦ all inā¦ otherwise your starter will not engage.
Disable all failures until you get familiar with the aircraft and checklists.
Best,
R.
I flew it prior to the update no problems. The only breaker that is popped and wont set is the generator breaker. I will continue to try and figure this out. Thanks for the advise. Will try again.
Start cold & dark. Turn off all animations. Repair Generator. Check if anything else needs to be repaired (engine maybe?). Push generator breaker back in. Do full engine start using correct procedure.
Donāt ever use ctrl-E to start this plane as youāll risk breaking something.
THe reset worked Thank you
Ctlr+E is supported as long as hot starts are disabled
Question Why do I only see the Navigraph page with a code on the WBT Airport Information page in MFD? I only have a Navigraph free account and donāt really want to use it. Do I have to switch something off somewhere so that I get the normal waypoint information without Navigraph? Unfortunately I havenāt found a way to switch off the Navigraph page. Thank you
Iāve drooled over the TQ6+ for a few years now, but canāt get past sticker shock. Big mistake not buying one during the fire sale at the start of the pandemicā¦the price has gone up a lot. My hang-up was that I couldnāt find anything online that shows how large the reverse range is. Lots of discussion about the reverse detent and how to set up reverse, but nothing to clearly tell me that there is a good bit of travel there.
So, maybe you can tell me: how much axis travel is there below the reverse detent???
I am used to the Logi/Saitek throttles. I set up my idle point right at the 25% mark. This gives me about 1 inch of travel for the whole reverse range and thatās been fine across almost all turboprops. Thatās what I would consider adequateā¦but I also buy a new one every ~3 years (I usually find unboxed ones for $20-30USD on ebay).
The TQ6Neo is perfection, but I think theyāve gone off the deep end pricing it that much more than the normal TQ6+.
Bottom of my lever is sitting on the detent and there is 7/8th of an inch to the bottom of the reverser/cut/feather sections.
I brought this up too, on their Discord and they are looking into it.
The Navigraph page is now simply the first page in the WPT āpage groupā. Use the upper FMS knob to select other information pages that show in the menu
I have watched a full flight yesterday and itĀ“s a really beautyful airplane. With nice comfy cockpit and romantic cockpit illumination and great features.
I will consider buying it when it is on sale some day maybe earlier.
All the details inside the cockpit and the full circuit breaker board and simulated failures and simulated electric circuits are very alluring.
Are there any updates planned with a feature for opening the bonnet? IĀ“d love to see the turbine close-up before flight.
The more I fly this the more I like it and the more I decide that G1000 cockpits arenāt that bad after all, though I suspect all the other G1000 planes in my hanger will feel a bit lacking after this one.
Iāve had a bunch of questions but theyāve all been answered in the extraordinarily good manual except for one - is there a page in the G1000 that tells me my endurance and how much fuel Iāll land with ? This G1000 seems so comprehensive Iām surprised I havenāt stumbled across it yet. The range estimate on the EFB doesnāt seem to change no matter what I do with the power lever.
Done several flights now with everything turned on and I havenāt managed to blow anything up, might try some passengers next trip, thatāll be fun.
IRL the G1000NXi has all sorts of weight and fuel planning pages, but not in the SIM yet. I think the Kodiak has some custom code that gives some basic endurance under the ENG softkey on the MFD, but not seen that on the 500.
However, you can configure the MFD data bar to show predicted endurance as well as ETA (and not just ETE for the current leg). Setup video I posted above shows you how.
Glad you like the manual!
I was halfway through watching that video when I thought ooh I must try that and ended up doing a 2 hour flight in the 500, I should have finished the video first
I believe the range rings are coming soon to MSFS G1000Nxi by working title, but if not, when they put it in, then we will update and add itā¦

I installed a couple of livery mods yesterday. Added them to my Addons Linker folder and to my General Aircraft preset, which I havenāt been having any issues with.
Shadow Metallic by SteveDra
Ocean Blue Metallic by ryanbatc
Piper Branding by TimHH
I also downloaded the white paint template livery, but didnāt install it.
Persistent CTDās when clicking the āFlyā button. Maybe 10 in a row as I tried to troubleshoot.
Tried Safe Mode and Normal Mode sim restarts a few times - no joy.
Tried restarting the computer a few times - no joy.
It got weird when I removed the mods from the linker preset. Weird because it didnāt help. Weird because it didnāt help when I tried loading a different plane.
Weird because the CTDās stopped when I loaded a different FLP from LNM.
It started working when I removed those custom liveries from my SPAD profileās Aircraft List. I then loaded the āproblem childā flight plan from LNM and it worked in a different plane. Went back to the FSR500, loaded the āproblem childā FLP and it worked.
I scratched my head for a little while, and did a nice 3-hour flight from CYCG to KSLC.
Iāll be adding those liveries back in one at a time, and Iāll report back.
