[released] FSReborn FSR500

anyone could point out what im doing wrong here??

plane is not getting the needed speed
PROP seems low i have no idea why
FEATHER msg in yellow, i have no idea why its on

Remove any propeller binds you have on hardware.. FSR500 requires you to not have these binds in place for propeller pitch.

appreciate the quick response.

Ill try that and take another try on the same flight.

just checked, nothing assigned to propeller on my thustmaster joystick

any other tip that why this is happening:?

as says on the manual: With engine operating, indicates a failure in the propeller feathering electrical system. An uncommanded propeller feathering could occur if additional electrical failures occur in the system.

maybe i did something on the ground or during the climb that resulted in propeller failure?

cheers

100% sure you have a propeller bind somewhere… look everywhere.. even keyboards, mouse, etc…

Indeed had something assigned on the keyboard.

Seems to be working fine now.

Thanks again! Great great plane, having a blast with it.

cheers

Raoul, I didn’t see this in the POH: if you update the PDF, please consider adding this. Or if I missed it, it may need to appear in more than one place? Cheers!

I believe we add it with 1.0.13, this is why I encourage people to use the LINK for the manual we provide, the manual is dynamic, I update it with each release.. if it is not there I will add it next year with the next update.

Best,
Raul

Please put the link here, thanks!

The link is inside the aircraft, EFB—>FAQ—>Question 1. also on my discord server..

If post the link here, it attaches it and people keep downloading an outdated version over and over again.. because HTML of the forums will embed the PDF at the time you post it..

So that’s my issue: I want to keep the manual open on my iPad or laptop on the side. What web site link has a link to the current manual outside of the sim? If you please, it’s not easy to find, thanks!

Yep, I’ve seen that exactly once a couple days ago and haven’t seen it again in the 8 or so flights I’ve done since.

I assumed it was a transient loss of connection to Navigraph or something.

I just re-typed the link from the FAQ on the EFB tablet into my browser and then bookmarked it. It’s a really simple link so not hard to re-type.

Except I’m not in the sim or Xbox even right now LOL! It shouldn’t be hard to find outside of MSFS either, but I’m not complaining because my FSR500 works great with my hardware bindings on my Series X. I’m a fan, but I don’t want to do everything from within the sim when not absolutely necessary to reduce system resources load on the box, AND expand my set-up with off-line displays for things like reading the POH.

Tried to find in the manual , whats the optimal speed for cruise @ around 26.000 feet?

i think im pushing too much?

Im at around 170 KIAS

Is just a QR code, that will give you the link.. is on the welcome wizards and also on the EFB—>FAQ—>question 1

All the performance tables are on the user manual, we put lots of effort in writing it, please get the link on EFB—>FAQ—>question 1.

It was also on the on boarding wizard, take time to read it, all you need is there..

I must agree that the performance tables are excellent and the manual is nicely presented. I’ve read the handbook, and everything is working fine. (Aside from my unhappy passengers, of course).

isn’t there some way to remove the prop axis if your plane doesn’t have one?

DisablePropellerControls = 1

Msfs SDK bug, if I disable the controls. The turbo prop engines never feather!

I have done things for a reason.. i have to control the prop pitch via custom code or i cannot feather the propellers correctly and if you disable the controls, then you cannot make it work.

The turboprops in msfs have so many issues that i ended up coding pretty much 90% of my simulation CUSTOM..

Is one of the reasons I want to work on Phenom next, i need a break of all these limitations on turboprops, i feel burned from them and quite frankly like i had to write black magic to get things done..

See the date of my report.. YES that long, FSR500 development took 19 months!!
