Some people have a different view of a home cockpit to me. I think you guys must think I have a full blown HJet motion sim or something. Well no. Just take a look at the variety of cockpits on display in the post your cockpit pictures thread and you will see many different flavours of what a home cockpit is. It certainly does not have to be every switch and button from a real cockpit and in most cases it is not that. I like many of us like to fly many different aircraft and so have a multi functional setup that allows for almost any case so not tied to one aircraft type. You have a home cockpit based on your brief description so yes anything related to how your kit interacts with an aircraft for anyone that is thinking about a purchase is useful. I don’t waste my money on a whim, regardless of the price, so no I won’t purchase until I’m reasonably confident it’s not going to be exactly that.
This is likely why we have confusion. You think most people here have a home cockpit which I tend to agree with but @Archer374 thinks it’s 5%. It begs the question when does ones setup become a home cockpit. I’d like to suggest that as soon as you move away from more than a couple of controllers and start moving into add-on panels, monitors and other peripherals then you have yourself a home cockpit.
It doesn’t need to be an exact replica of a real aircraft cockpit to be considered as such IMHO. Anyway a bit off topic so apologies for that.
For info - I will post links if really necessary but they probably have already been posted and I don’t want to duplicate - there are two manuals available online to read-
Pilots’ Operating Manual (POM) - you’ll find that one easily
Airplane Flight Manual (AFM) - you’ll find this easier to find online by searching for its FAA reference - HJ1-29000-003-001
The POM tells you how to fly the ‘plane - lots of detail on manoeuvres and operating procedures
The AFM is the performance guide - this will give you all the information you need on speeds including climb speeds and times to FLs and VRef speeds for landing.
It’s full of charts and tables so it’s a dense read….
Hope this is helpful
Make your mind up. Most is not 5%.
Just take a look at this very forum and tell all those posters in the cockpit pictures thread they don’t really have a cockpit. Good luck with that.
Thankyou I am allowed my own view after all.
“Very easy” is quite relative.
The standard view is very bad. By saving my own via ctrl+F10 i got a CTD.
I changed like described in your link (text instructions would be easier than having to type that stuff and having typos in the end)
And remember it means changing in OneStore-Folder and not in Community folder which perhaps coincedantly resulted in MSFS wanting to reinstall itself somehow afterwards(>40gb).
After that i didn’t even want to try the HJet again.
Next update overrides the entry (probably again with CTD) or corrects the bug.
Won’t touch HJet again until i read somewhere that it is fixed.
Had the same with the Wing42 Boeing. But there the standard view was good for me so i just stopped trying to change it.
And not being greedy - honest!
As this is such a brilliant add-on (it really is a joy to fly it)
Perhaps a follow up (in time)? A Look at the HondaJet 2600 Concept - FLYING Magazine
Thanks to the dev for all the very hard work that has gone into the creation of this aircraft - greatly appreciated…
How to you get Charts displayed? I‘m on Xbox too but once I select Charts on MFD I get „Unable to Display Chart“ and Chart Data Fail is shown.
Any idea or is this Chart implementation not working for others as well on Xbox SX?
Do you have an Navigraph subscription?
Pilot / 0083 on YouTube now has a tutorial. But as @BanKhokklan said subscription required.
Has anyone tried setting up the Logitech panels in Spad.Next? Are any of the LVARs visible for the aircraft?
Has anyone else had their Navigraph chart completely freeze in the cockpit? I pulled up a KSAN arrival chart, and at some point I used the pan/zoom feature to get a bit closer. Either right then, or a bit later, I noticed that my aircraft was no longer moving on the chart. I tried everything from re-authorizing Navigraph, changing charts, even changing the airport completely to a different airport and pulling its charts up. The chart stayed frozen in time on screen for the remainder of the flight.
That’s being worked on and will be addressed in an upcoming update (not necessarily today’s, but maybe).
Anyone got the update yet?
How do you get the Vspeeds?, I have put in all of the weights and fuel in the weights and fuel page.
Edit: Found it out, needed to do it via the sim options page.
Probably won’t happen until 8pm (US,EST)
Are we there yet?!
I agree. I just completed my first flight, and it went well. She does float a bit on landing. But that is known, and I’m glad that I had some extra runway!
I’m interested in this one, is there a good tutorial flight video somewhere?
