[Released] Hondajet for MSFS

The fact that it will be payware is good. It means that

  1. The product will be deemed by the market to be worth buying

  2. The developer gets to eat occasionally

  3. Payware implies both support and further development.

Look forward to splashing out on this one.

Is there any kind of acknowlegement or involvment with Honda until now?

The plan is payware, but nothing is set in stone at the moment. As for Honda, that will be addressed at a later time when it’s appropriate.

On a different note, I can say as a tester/helper, this bird is absolutely a blast to fly and about as high-fidelity as they get. I have no doubt this plane will achieve legendary status in MSFS.

And…I want it now  It looks amazing. Take my money!

This is exquisit to hear! The more highest fidelity treasures the better.

So has this been confirmed as payware?

With all the other releases coming I totally forgot about the status of the Hondajet.

Top of the list in the FAQ section of their Discord server:

F.A.Q.
**1. Freeware or payware?
** Payware.
**2. ETA?
** No release date, but currently in beta. If any rough timeframe had to be given, Q1 2022
**3. Are there typed Hondajet pilots working in the alpha?
** Yes. We have 2 typed pilots and an employee in the Hondajet factory.
**4. Will there be liveries upon release/with release?
** Yes. Work on liveries has already begun.
**5. Study level???
** If you are familiar with the aircraft, it will operate as it does day to day. 1 in a million operations won’t be modeled but things that pop up every so often will be modeled.
**6. How many people are on the dev team?
** Just @Marwan Gharib, who does the modeling+texturing+coding+flight dynamics.
**7. Compatible with the WT G3000?
** Yes. The code has been done in a “plug-and-play” design, so there should be no conflicts.
**8. What’s your work history?
** Marwan is a project manager for healthcare projects as a day job, 10 years of 3D modeling experience. Simmer since 2005 and dev since 2017 but no prior releases.
**9. What code is being used?
** JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and XML.
**10. VNAV?
** Yes, VNAV will be present. In addition, the systems work in tandem with the WT G3000, so the package will evolve in functionality as Working Title does.
**11. How can I test?
** A beta with more users is not too far off; your best bet is looking in discussion-and-feedback or wip-previews for an announcement of it.

It’s cute that you think people will read the FAQ

So, Marwan has literally polished up the planes (seriously, it looks incredible, take a look below).
Regarding payware, that’s the plan.
Release date: Although the FAQ said Q1 was the hopeful plan, it was never a firm commitment. As such, adopt the popular adage in development: “it’s done when it’s done.” It’s getting MUCH closer, though!

On a side note, I plan to stream the HondaJet later tonight (around 0100 UTC) on Twitch: Twitch

Settle down, I doubt most people (myself included) knew that such a FAQ existed.

I don´t read the FAQ, I add full throttle + first notch on the flaps lever and see how she flies!

Everything else like diving into the manuals and watching YouTube tutorial videos follows some time later…

YES!
A Very Light Jet (VLJ), its a category of small business jets seating four to eight people.
VLJs are considered the lightest business jets and are approved for single-pilot operation.

FlightFX and Marwan Gharib Reach Publishing Agreement to get the aircraft released faster due to Partner Applications taking more than a 2 year process.

Yup; same dev, same beta testing team, but publishing under the FlightFX product line for speed purposes but also visibility/largest audience. The price point is set at $24.99, but note this does NOT mean we have been approved by Honda; hence the Hondajet being “debranded” as the HJet for the present moment. I encourage all of you to join the FlightFX discord here: FlightFX

Freakin’ incredible. I’m not much of a jet guy, but this is on my list for purchase.

This project went completely quiet after the info that the dev partnered up with FlightFX. No showcases anymore, no info, no nothing. Last info on the release was that it was pushed from end of April to early days of May. We’re moving towards the end of the month.

Has this been killed by Honda, or what is up?
