rlk281 and SilentG37, thank you for help with finding the manual. I had visited JustFlight’s website before but it seemed like you had to log in to download the manual so I thought that you had to buy it from them to get it there. Because the Marketplace purchases are not in the Community folder, I hadn’t seen the manual in the folder for the Concorde. I did a file search for it though and I was able to find it thanks to your post. While I have been able to fly the aircraft successfully and have been enjoying it, the manual has been helping me to figure out how to fly it more properly and learn what all of the controls do. The Concorde really is a very complex aircraft and there is much to learn. Thank you again for your help.

Hey everyone. I was just wondering if anyone is having issues with CTD when using Concorde? I’ve had it 3 times today when taking off from Islamabad, everything runs fine and then I get a CTD as I move through FL500 every time…

I’m guessing no one else is having this problem? I’ve had 5 CTDs in a row now.
Really weird, the last time I held the altitude at FL495, and speed at Mach 1.7, I kept it like this for 10 minutes and everything was fine. ATC kept bugging me to expedite to FL560, but as soon as I gave in and started to climb above FL500 it CTD.

I get CTDs with Concorde, sometimes multiple, but only upon loading the flight with certain flight plans. If I change the offending flight plan, normally by removing one of the initial waypoints, it loads without a CTD. The original offending flight plan can be loaded just fine with other aircraft, so it seems to be a Concorde thing.

Re CTD passing through FL500, I have never had this happen in over 100 flights, but noting that I do not use ATC at all due to its poor implementation in MSFS currently.

Thanks for the reply mate. I’m hoping it is just a waypoint thing. I’ve just done the flight with a B747 with no issues as all, although didn’t get to FL500.
I’ll try a different route with Concorde and hopefully it doesn’t happen, just be wary flying out of Islamabad!

Might be helpful to Dean and Jack if you posted the flightplans along with the offending waypoints that are causing you problems to see if the problems can be recreated.

Will do tomorrow when I fire up my sim computer.

This is an overview of the flight plan causing CTDs with Concorde (5 times in a row):

Specifically, deleting the first waypoint (ZEM VOR) allowed the flight to load without a CTD occurring:

The before and after flight plans were created/edited in Little NavMap and exported to MSFS pln format.

One quirk to note is that after I loaded and flew the amended flight plan, I tried loading in the CTD flight plan without exiting MSFS and the flight loaded in fine this time. ie. the CTD seems to be a first time in MSFS loading a flight issue.

Gonna check it out!

Ok, atm i have loaded the two flight plans and i’m not having CTD in them. Anyway, if you are on PC i would like you to try a hotfix i was working with just to check if it gives you more compatibility:

Install it as a hotfix replacing only the files included there

Before I installed the hotfix you just provided, I thought I’d try loading in the errant flight plan again and of course it loaded in both times without CTDing. After installing the hotfix, it loaded up the first time but then CTDed the next, then didn’t the next, then did the next. Also either before or after the hotfix, I get a CTD about half the time returning to the main menu after a flight. This is regardless of whether I have Concorde only or all other addons in my community folder.

The only constant is that Concorde is the only aircraft this seems to happen with on my system. Given how inconsistent this CTD behaviour is, it’s probably an SU9 thing as I didn’t get them before SU9. I believe the SU10 beta is coming out soon so, being the glutton for punishment that I am, I’ll probably join that and see if things improve with this issue and can also report back on any new issues the SU10 beta and Concorde while I’m in there.

Thanks for your assistance Jack in any case :+1:

Sorry to hear of your CTD issues! I see this reported on many airplanes, as well as the black-screen problem. We just don’t know what causes it, unfortunately, and neither does Asobo it seems. I don’t think it’s Concorde specific, despite everything, as Concorde doesn’t itself do or have anything that would cause a CTD that we’re aware of, any more than other aircraft.

If we figure this out though, Concorde will be updated immediately to fix it. As you say, with SU10 coming, there is little we can do at the moment as we’re just tail-chasing, never sure if the CTD issues are caused by us or MSFS itself.

Hi Dean,
I attempted my first full flight today EGLL to EDDF, took the Concorde up to 57000ft but once up there I couldn’t use the Vertical Speed control to set a value such as -3000 as per a tutorial video on Youtube. This was in VR, and I was using the VR controller, it just wouldn’t work. I switched to mouse and had moderately more luck after random clicking, but then after setting Alt Acquire and Vert Speed button, Concorde wouldn’t descend. I had to disengage the autopilot and flight director and land it manually - landed safely, but does anybody have thoughts on why the autopilot wouldn’t descend?

Also any plans to improve interactions of VR controllers for the Autopilot Speed, Altitude and the Vertical Speed controls? In terms of the first two, the barometer adjust works perfectly by rotating the VR controller, and ideally those AP controls would work the same way.

Did you follow the instructions in the built-in checklist? You’re not supposed to use vertical speed for climb.

Hi, as mentioned above, VS if not used for climb and descent, only to control the rate ( if needed ). The Interactive Checklist directs the correct methods for an entire flight profile - follow that and all should work nicely :+1:

Sorry if this is the wrong place but I tried other threads with no solution. I have version 1.0.5 of the PC (not Xbox) Concorde downloaded and installed one and a half months ago. I’ve learned most of the inflight things about the SST but I cannot get the passengers to appear. I have used the silver “Passengers” button at the flight engineers station in every mode I can think of: in flight; before engine start; after engine start; passenger door open and boarding stairs attached. I checked the default weight and balance and there is adequate provisions for the passenger weights; door closed. With the cursor on the silver button and clicked I see very slight motion of the button in or out and tried both positions to get the passengers to appear. There also is no sound of the passengers. Does anyone have any suggestions?

If you purchased from the Marketplace the passengers are not included, due to model compiler size restrictions for MP models. They will be added in a future update.

Thanks very much for your reply, I’ll wait for the update. Besides, those pax look a bit creepy.

Is anybody having issues with it crashing? It has happened towards the end of my flights. I suddenly get a black screen and it then shuts the application down.
