[Released on PC and Xbox] DC Designs Aérospatiale/BAC Concorde

I’m lost. After reaching MAX CRIUSE around Mach 2.02 the plane starts to dance to the left and right and has trouble keeping a straight line. During descent, the plane returns to a stable flight below Mach2. Have any ideas? I’ve never flown Concorde before.

I just did my first perfect flight. KIAD to EGLL. 3hrs 20mins. -198fpm landing, 98% satisfaction in PACX. Didn’t cheat fuel during flight, 18k fuel content and 53% CG on landing.

I can now die happy.

Wow, well done, amazing work!

So hard to diagnose remotely I’m afraid, quite a lot of people completing successful flights now and recording them on You Tube or elsewhere. My only guess is that the airplane was out of CG balance and the autopilot could not control it at high Mach.

Thanks Dean for the answer. I’ve watched a lot of tutorials and I’m trying to figure it out, but unfortunately I have this problem every time I fly. I check CG every time, but it’s possible that something is unfortunately not working for me. I will try to install the plane from scratch, review all the modifications I have in MSFS. Thank you again

Hey i have a question/issue with the concorde. i have seen plenty of youtube videos on the plane and saw it worked outside of a few bugs that can be ignored. that said for some reason i have encountered a bug that nobody i know has had before. i havent been able to find any pattern or consitency but the plane electronics shut down at random intervals or moments. i can be at the gate starting up and it will shut down. or i can be taxiing, taking off,in a flight etc etc it will shut of randomly like it ran out of power. i also can’t switch the EPU switch at all. people in youtube videos seemt to be able to do so. but i cant. i also reinstalled it and its not fixed. any help would be appreciated because i realy hope im making a mistake so it can be found and ‘‘fixed’’ instead of it being a bug i have no controle over.

It seems to be the case when cruising at lower altitude at high Mach speed, like oscillation along flight path.

And it seems it will be nice if someone can do a tutorial video on how to play around the fuel tanks, like if taking off full loaded, emptying a bit of the trim tanks onto the main tanks and if over done, how to pump back fuel from the main tanks to the trim tanks for balancing.

One last question is sometimes during startup I might miss out one or two steps and the annoying siren horn just comes on, and after Ctrl+E and re-do it properly it just won’t go off, is there anything like the master warning off switch on the A320 in the Concorde to silent that off?

Glad to hear more people enjoying this amazing bird.

As for SU9, please understand @DEAN01973 and @CodenameJack447 - I absolutely do not expect you guys to fix and SU9-related quirks or bugs at this point! I would never dare be so presumptuous. I am merely reporting them so that (as in the new afterburner quirks) other buyers/simmers who run into them can understand first that it’s not their fault that the sim broke, and second, so you guys can jot down on a notepad somewhere that sometime in the next month, you’re going to get flooded with posts about it unless Asobo undoes the change.

But in the meantime, please do not feel any concerns or pressures to change stuff that is SU9-related! I can still fly a complete flight by taking off on full dry thrust and then only allowing the AT’s to use reheat to accelerate supersonic. So long as it’s done by AT, there seems to be no issue (and that in fact might be a clue if there’s a difference in max reheat thrust as set by the AT versus what one can set with a throttle?). But either way, I did a 90 minute flight from KJFK to KMIA yesterday, and half of a flight from KSFO to PHNL. In both cases I was able to climb steadily and settle into a cruise at Mach 2.04/2.05 at FL600 and maintain it indefinitely.

Similarly, my personal fights with the INS/LNAV might well be SU9-enhanced, but they might well also be user error. I absolutely am unable (yet) to get fuel transfer to work but that too is probably user error. I’m going to spend at least an hour today sitting on the ramp with engines running and try to move fuel around until I grok it. And ultimately, I might just back out of SU9 for now and enjoy the next few weeks until it all breaks again.

But in any case, guys, I appreciate you, your work and your engagement in the community far too much to expect you guys to cater to those of us trying skate on the bleeding edge.

That depends of ISA temperature. Mach 2.04 is not the max speed of Concorde, but the cruise speed at 60000ft without reheat. Max speed achieved in Concorde IRL was 2.24 Mach at -80 degrees.

Hi, on su 9 beta engines shutting down when 100%
it happens at take off and at cruise

Reported above by me and at least one others. It’s an SU9-related bug, not the fault of the plane itself.

That horn is letting you know that your gear lever is up and is not something that you would want silenced. Just put your gear lever down and it will go away.

Hey! I am having some real Issues with the MSFS2020 Concorde. I can’t see any Indicators. The are always at 100%. Also the Autopilot Pannel doesn’t work at all. Can someone help me please?

We need a lot more information than what you posted. What indicators are you talking about? What specifically are you doing with the autopilot panel that doesn’t work?

Did you read any of the supplied manual or watch any tutorial videos?

Many of you are asking what amount of fuel is recommended for Concorde to take off. What you have to keep in mind is to adjust the Fuel levels in each tank so that the following rule is fulfilled:

They will load straight into the FMS and you won’t have to do anything once loaded. I did figure out how to transfer the fuel and was able to make it move aft rather quickly. I’ll be working on a video in the near future.

I am working on that video. The screen recordings are done.

For what it’s worth, I have created a Bug Report in the SU9 Beta Aircraft & Systems section related to reheat (afterburners) killing the engines. If you are on the SU9 Beta and have run into this, please add any details you note that might help Asobo track down what’s changed between SU8 and SU9 Beta so it can be addressed.

AGAIN: this is not to badger Dean & Jack, it’s get to help relieve them of fixing something they didn’t break.

I thought this was rather entertaining!

I may be wrong but I believe the yawing is introduced when the aircraft is travelling too fast at a low altitude. I think anything over M1 at 28000 causes this when following a flight plan.
