Anyone else have the Ice light basically do nothing? (That is a picture of the wing, with the light onâŠ)
That is a known issue.
I see the latest update fixes the MFD traffic, at least on the PC version Iâve just tried. Iâll check it on Xbox later.
Seems like we missed out on having you alongside us at the Community Fly-in, @CasualClick.
Sorry I missed it. Looks like you had a great time!
The more I fly this baby, the more I like it. Didnât have time to take the new 1.2 version out last night due to other responsibilities. But will be taking it for a spin today for sure.
Youâll like the pitch rate control changes Luk put in. T/O was always a lesson in not overshooting the FD cue for me. Much easier last night. Had to terminate the flight early, so Iâm gonna check out VNAV today.
Nice! I look forward to it.
T/O was always a bit touchy. Not terrible, but different. Most planes just want to fly. Once you hit that magic speed, they start to lift off. Not so much with this one. I feel like it needed a little more elevator on rotation than it should, which would suddenly cause it to jump off the runway and overshoot the FD significantly. Perhaps thatâs due to the thrust line above GC due to the top mounted engine causing nose-down pitch moment at full power? Iâm not a pilot and Iâve never even seen one of these IRL, so I can only speculate.
In any case, just got word from my boss that work is being shut down today due to a snow storm (yay! snow day!) and to go home. And coincidentally, I start xmas vacation time today as well, so the next 3 weeks are going to see a LOT of VJ flying and further development of my VJ instruments for Air Manager.
Time to go hit up my cockpit!
This has certainly been fixed in 1.2! Wow. The plane basically jumped off the runway at 90 kts (with full fuel and heavy load) without needing to actually pull back to rotate!
Nice to see the TAS on the MFD working finally too!
I love this thing!
Just flew it clear across Canada; from St. Johnâs to Victoria hitting all the prov capitals on the way.
What a great little bird! WooHoo!
Checked out the real world flights of Vision Jets, and found someone headed south from Houston to Tampico MX. You donât have to twist my arm twice for white beaches and overpriced drinks!
Also checked out B055man_VolcTechâs VNAV implementation in 1.2.1. Very nice. Honestly feels like Early Access Working Title G1000 days, which is just fine. ToD and BoD markers were accurate, ILS 13 at Tampico was just driving me too early into the ground, so that might be an airport data issue.
Anybody wants to get a real one, theyâre only about 1.3 Mil
Yikes!
One of the most affordable VLJs on the market, and itâs single pilot (otherwise youâd have to cough up for the co-pilot every time to operate safely/legally). Affordable doesnât mean cheap though.
Well, I suppose if youâre worth a few hundred million, 1.3 mil is the chump change you find in the sofa in your penthouse.
Cheaper than a lot of super cars.
And faster
I wonder if theyâll ever put speed cameras in the air to tax the rich people for going too fast (for âenvironmental reasonsâ of course). Or just do it via GPS - automatic penalty points applied to your license. You could get banned in a single trip!
I still canât see my copilot in the cockpit, but the rest looks nice!
