This isn’t easy to help,
I don’t know really what exactly steps you do inside cockpit, what you have set on Avionic depended to approach or expected part of flight.

Ive got 400 hours in the sim and have always been able to land and create my own flightpaths by manually adding them in g1000 and g3000 using navigraph for charts.
Now it just stopped working even a simple ILS approach. Looks like something i downloaded completely screwed my game.
I will uninstall and do fresh install right now.
Thanks for your help
I recommend you join the FlightFX Discord. We can do more troubleshooting easily there, and it’s in line with No Tech Support posts here in the MSFS forum.
Few years ago, when i returned to flight simming after a decade long hiatus, i did a westward around-the-Earth trip Prague to Prague (LKPR) in SF50. I used XPL11 and the modded version of Laminar’s Vision Jet (the G2 mod with A/T from the xpl org).
I “almost died” several times. There was severe headwind during my leg from UK to Iceland, for most of the route, almost ran ouf of fuel before getting anywhere close to Keflavik and had to divert. Luckily i made it to Iceland landmass and landed on one of the strips in southeastern part of the island.
The second problematic leg was right the next one. Iceland to Greenland.
There were low clouds around my destination (Narsarsuaq) and there are steep rocky mountains around the airstrip (and lake on the other side of the rwy). Since i wasn’t experienced AND XPL sent me into a mountain during approach more than once, i didn’t trust it completely, even though i already started using LittleNavMap and made my own flight plans at that point. So i just blindly circled around, slowly running out of fuel.
Eventually, i got critically low on fuel after trying to find a hole in the clouds, so i had to put it down fast, somehow. I ignored the flight plan/procedures and positioned myself still quite high above the terrain for a very short, very steep final (to avoid the rocks). Then i started descending.
When i finally got out of the cloud layer, i was already passing the rwy threshold, way too high to make it to rwy.
I remembered that way back, in Chuck Yeager’s Air Combat game (early 90s flight sim) i used to land jets by going almost vertically down with full flaps and airbrakes extended, levelling right above the ground and landing safely.
Well, i found out that the SF50 wasn’t built for anything even resembling that demented maneuver (not to mention that it doesn’t have an airbrake or spoilers of any kind).
I pushed the nose down, got quite low, aligned with the rwy, but then i was already at half point mark and picked up too much speed. So i attempted to use flaps as an airbrake of sorts. At around 200kts. Flaps on one side got ripped off of the plane due to the enormous stress, the plane obviously started rolling to one side. Luckily it was possible to retract the flap remaining on the other side, and i managed to return to wings level right above the ground. This demented maneuver made me lose some speed and the remaining altitude.
Unfortunately, i was passing the last exit at that point. No fuel to go around, low visibility, so i touched down at around 170kts come what may. I stepped on the brakes, but it was obvious i’m going to overrun the rwy and end up in the lake. So i went full right rudder. The plane overran the end of the rwy, and stopped just few meters from the lake, in a skid. Drifting to the right and stepping on the brakes made the plane list to the left, and when the Cirrus finally stopped, my left wingtip was touching the ground.
Wouldn’t recommend doing any of that IRL, lol.
The rest of the trip went a lot better, both of these two legs were learning experience, and flying from Alaska to Russia and then to Japan is easier than UK-Iceland-Greenland-Goose Bay legs.
The next crash happened when i tried to land SF50 in LUKLA, but this comment is novel-sized even without describing that…
Anyway - when i switched to MSFS in late 2020, the thing i missed the most (after the obvious stuff like more interactive cockpits and download speeds that aren’t measured in days per gigabyte) was the Vision Jet.
Luckily, in time, MSFS became better, there are more and more planes to fly, the planes and their cockpits are getting more and more detailed, the terrain looks better and better, and now we can finally fly the Vision Jet as well. And it’s much more detailed than the XPL11 version (even the modded ones).
Thank you FlightFX. It’s an amazing plane and great addon!
If i did have one tiny little complaint, it would be that the plane seems to be affected by the wind a littlebit too much. It seems way more sensitive to weather than smaller and lighter planes (even some of the ultra lights), which just feels wrong. Who knows, maybe it’s correct…
I love it!
Simming is such great good fun
Nice story! Please tell us about Lukla
You didn’t need to remove any planes, or your whole community folder for that matter.
You need to delete the Marketplace WTG3000 and WT530 from the content manager. These are the Garmin gauges with the icon that looks like a GPS (the gray ones are the default ones and can’t be deleted, fortunately). It is also a good idea to delete the WTG3000 from your community folder if you have that loaded.
Approach mode requires Nav1 to be tuned to the ILS frequency (can’t tell from your screen), and the PFD CDI to be set to Nav1 as well. I think you can also use Nav2 on each, but I’ve never tested that.
Enjoying the Vision Jet so far. BTW, where can I see OAT displayed?
OAT currently only available on Ice Protection Screen in the Synopitcs pages.
Does it have any automated icing cautions/warnings?
No ice detection, generally you won’t see much performance loss turning it on once airborne, Most RL Vision pilots set it and forget it,
After fresh re install it seems to work now.
Thanks for your help
According to real-world SF50 pilot Tim Morgan in his “How to Fly the FlightFX Vision Jet Like a Pro” video (21:11), at the runway in possible icing conditions you would perform a tactile ice check by scooting your seat back, opening the door, and feeling the wing for ice!
Nope, but I have always hoped some developer would mod it.
EDIT: actually, I don’t think third party products can be modded.
that would be awesome. I love to stay on the backseat on long flights.
Would be nice to have a flight info screen with map / distance / speed etc..
A way to maybe have a movie playing that would be sick, i have no idea if thats possible, but being able to play a .mkv would be fun
the way it is makes no sense to have the “working” screen there for nothing.
I can imagine a stats screen is doable. And even if you could just click on the screen to have it change “programs”, just simple stills of a movie or TV show, that would be cool.
That’s odd then. The only time I looked at it, I had a picture of four seeexxy lady stewardesses there!
That screen is an individual texture file - SF50_COCKPIT_TV.PNG.DDS. You can change it to any image you want as long as you keep the original file format. If you don’t have them already, I highly recommend Gimp and Paint.net - both of which are free and will open just about any image file format, including those used in MSFS.
