[Released] SF50 Vision Jet G2

Ive asked Luk to look into this. Our VR betas didnt say anything about it though. Best to bring up the issue on our discord if possible.

This is our bad. One of those dumb things that get missed which is somewhat important but nobody happened to use. We will include this in an upcoming patch.
Sorry.

Correct. Also worth noting that this is more accurate in the next patch coming asap.

I think the general consensus is that the Vision is a wonderful add on and we are enjoying flying it - thanks very much for all the hard work - it really really shows

Um. Working through a backlog from today and some tomorrow. So far ive responded to everyone. However, quicker support comes from discord. Multiple people can weigh in and help trouble shoot. Devs, community members etc. If you do one person. Its one on one, single point back and forth.

Its worth noting that we put it up there for people who refuse/hate discord. Also some of the old heads who prefer email. Its fine and we try to cater to everyone.

All of that said “it doesnt bode well” really doesnt apply to us. Im not sure how many devs are as patient with people who are asking stuff thats right there in front of them and or just helping people learn how to fly.

im not sure what you email is but if i dont get to it today send it again.

These three directly influence how much an aircraft is affected by the surrounding airmass, including by turbulence, and have no impact on control input response.

Definitely, I’ve had a few over-stress episodes just flying around in GA aircraft and seasick wobbles that are just flat out bizarre, and it’s mile after mile, not a ‘gust’.

Ill pass that along. Im not the coder on it.

I don’t have the SF50 to check what yours are but if you’re at, say, 0.15, try doubling it to 0.3 and see how you like it. You don’t want to go above 1 as that is the theoretical maximum but the differences between 0 and 1 are huge. You can, of course, set these independent of each other depending on if on axis is more affected than the others

I can’t get this thing to start. I’m 99% positive mine is completely bugged. It’s the easiest jet in the world to start up, but mine has to be bugged. I’m wondering if it’s just not compatible with my turtle beach velocity one, which would be odd as this has never happened with any other aircraft. Here’s a video to show what’s happening every time on start-up. I’ve already intialized FOB and everything. It will sound like it’s starting up and then this happens (below). Hear the sound of the engine start-up and then “glitch” out? ITT, N2 etc never raises. Just sound like a dead engine. Very frustrating.

Not to mention, since downloading it my sim has acted very strange. Sounds cutting in and out, even in the main menu. And when I load into an airport in the visionjet the frames CRAWL. This is very buggy and I’d advise not buying until it’s patched. I’m on Series X and i have tried deleting it and re-downloading it. Very strange.

edit: Devs were really helpful on this and helped me figure it out. Flies great once I got around that little bug!

Give it full on your hardware fuel/condition lever for now. See what happens. There seems to be an issue where it can cut the engine if set too low, even though the plane itself doesn’t have one.

I’m on an XSX and no problems with the plane at all - using controller and mouse.
Don’t know what could be causing your FPS slowdowns - something odd going on there?

Edit - is it HW related or are you using any third party airports, anything non- standard.

Yeah that worked. I asked on the discord and they said the same thing. There is a bug fix coming. Would’ve never thought I’d need to us my condition levers in a jet, but it’s a bug for now. Thanks!

Hey

Couple things. You most likely have a binding for fuel mixture from another aircraft. If its off or set to anything other than 100% it will override the aircraft own fuel mixture and thus kill the startup sequence. I would urge you to start with a fresh profile whenever starting any new aircraft and always clear bindings not needed. Further, there is a spoiler binding you might want to kill as well. We are issuing a patch soon that will force this for anyone that is using “dirty bindings.” Most likely this is your case.

On the second one. The aircraft has been tested extensively on Xbox. Secifically the X series. 99 percent of the time people have been very happy with the performance. They report results identical to the TBM which we benchmarked it against. That said there are many things that the xbox is struggling with when it comes to virtual memory especially when it comes to the random situations that the sim can present. The only thing that you can do with the Vision Jet is to dial back the complexity of whats on the screen in the G3000. This is called clutter. Try turning down the amount of info that it shows. States, cities, rivers etc.

Ignore the first as I saw that you got your answer. Just leaving for anyone else.

Can you report back on the FPS issue once you’ve reduced the detail on the map? I’ve been paying super close attention to this plane but want to make sure it’ll run on my series X before I buy it. Thanks in advance!

It runs on Series X.

I notice there are no contraIls with this jet

Yeah totally, I know these devs have been very particular in carrying out extensive XSX testing - which is quite rare actually and is great for us.
