RELEASED: Sierrasim Nassau Lynden Pindling Int'l MYNN v2

Available at Simmarket and, no doubt soon, the Marketplace. I don’t own any of Sierrasim’s sceneries (their current locations don’t appeal) but their last couple of airports look pretty nice, without being outstanding. definitely improving with each release. I shan’t hesitate to pick this one up in a sale.

Is this a new version? Got this a long time ago from the MP on Xbox.

Yep, v2. Title changed. FS2024 version also available, albeit as a separate purchase. Given that Sierrasim’s stuff has always made it to console, it’ll be in the MP soon for both PC and Xbox. I don’t think you’re on Xbox any more, though?

Nice, I like Nassau flights! I still have the Box as a backup and of course all of my content to date has been in the MP. Will be keeping both MP content and starting to buy outside, but only for new content that is unique to 2024 and/or PC. There is still so much bought that has not been brought over to 24 and not much of it would be useful in beta anyway.

I will probably get this eventually, I agree that Sierrasim stepped up the game. I’ve also noticed that they sell El Alto La Paz SLLP airport for MSFS2024 on Marketplace and that is a cool high altitude airport I’m interested in. I hope they’ll also sell it on SimMarket too - I’m still waiting as I hate buying things on Marketplace.

Great, was waiting for a MYNN scenery for MSFS 2024, I like flying in the Bahamas.

Is it working in 2024? I noticed it says requirements 2020!

There is a version for 2024 on Simmarket too.

I bought the FS24 version and I’m really impressed. Sierrasim definitely stepped up the game further with this one. I’ve got some of their SA airports for MSFS2020 but this is a different story. Nice ground textures, the terminal has interiors and the performance is great. A beautiful area to fly to. Recommended.

I keep eyeing up their El Alto, which is presumably of similar quality. Both that and MYNN look really nice.

A shame some devs never really seem to have come far since FSX. I keep thinking Fly2High will one day be a top-tier dev but with each release I become more convinced otherwise.

I will probably wait another couple of weeks if it shows up on SimMarket (or other stores). If not then I’ll go for it on Marketplace unfortunately.

Agreed. I have their KJAN and KRSW and it seems they sacrifice the attention to detail for a quantity. It’s a pity because they clearly have skills.

I bought their Harlingen Valley. It’s not the most detailed airport but there are a good number of custom assets on display (including very nice runway/taxiway lighting and signage) and the ground textures are accurate (despite looking a little ‘gritty’). But there’s no detail beyond the perimeter fence, and the fence itself is entirely missing in numerous places.

I then bought Savannah Hilton Head, which is just awful. Feels like a ghost town. Night-lighting is the worst I’ve seen. I reached out to Fly2 but was told the night-lighting was accurate and they didn’t see a problem. Accurate? Sure… if your local airport happens to have no internal illumination whatsoever! The only saving grace is down to Asobo’s PG!

The new Akron looks nice but Savannah has given me cause for caution.

Anyway, back to the topic…

El Alto has been available on Simmarket since yesterday. I had already bought the version for MSFS 2020 three weeks ago in the Marketplace. I really like the airport. Nice interior, good landside and textures. It’s a bit of a shame that no other buildings were modelled outside the airport area. The airport is in the centre of the city with countless autogen buildings all around. A few custom buildings would have done well here. Especially as I know the airport and El Alto and the Autogen buildings unfortunately don’t reflect reality. Actually, 80-90 per cent of the buildings in El Alto are unplastered brick buildings. The Asobo buildings are far too colourful. But of course you can’t criticise Sierrasim for that.

However, I don’t like the pricing model. The fact that I have to pay the full price of over 18 euros for both MSFS 2024 and MSFS 2020 is something I’ve never experienced at any airport before. At least a discount would be nice. But apart from the price, the airport is of good quality overall.

Thanks for the info, I must have missed it by a few hours yesterday because I checked SimMarket for El Alta as I purchased Nassau. Well, I’m gonna spend some more money today then. I personally don’t mind the pricing model as I opted to use MSFS2024 only and uninstalled MSFS2020 but yes, there should be a discount for getting it for both simulators.

I picked up the 2024 version of MYNN. Overall, looks great. But, can’t figure out how to disable the static aircraft. Anyone know if this is possible? Also, is there a GSX profile for this anywhere?

I bought mynn direct from their sierrasim website and do not see V2 there anywhere

Just looked and there’s not even a v1 on their site!

Yeah I see its not for sale on their site anymore, luckily I can still download it from my account but it’s not v2.

It showed up this afternoon in 2024 MP as an upgrade from the one bought in Xbox years ago. Got it but have not flown it yet in 24.
