I thought it was because MSFS 20204 included it when the program downloaded to my PC. If it wasn’t supposed to be included with what I purchased, that’s the real mystery. Most reasonable people would think it was a default plane if it’s included with the purchase.
seems like one of a couple things happened.
(1) some kind of mistake happened in the magical ms cloud and you were “gifted” the plane by the msfs gods.
(2) you bought the plane at some point from the mp for 2020 (and clearly forgot) and it’s appearing in your hangar in 24, like it’s supposed to.
here’s a list of all the planes that come with the game. if you peruse the list you’ll see that the fss tecnam p2012 isn’t included there.
You never answered the question on whether or not you purchased the plane in 2020.
Nor apparently did you look at what was included in your MSFS2024 purchase.
It’s not like anyone cares why you thought it was a default plane. All we said is it isn’t.
If you didn’t purchase it in 2020, you shouldn’t have it in 2024. The plane has never been associated to Microsoft in any way. It’s solely a 3rd party plane.
Do you think maybe you purchased the P2012 in 2020 and that is why it’s showing up in your hanger?
Tried moving it over to fs2024 and loading a free flight in it, unfortunately the loading fs studios advertisements for fs studios won’t go away even after it’s loaded
I bet this is a simple fix, because you can hear the plane is working in the BG, Spawn it on the Runway, it sounds like it is working.
That is what i actually did to get that to happen because I moved around the mouse and the fs studios advertisement screen was still up but it showed the highlighted name of the toggle switch

Tecnam P2012: This aircraft is NOT COMPATIBLE with MSFS 2024. A 2024 compatibility version will be available in the future.
I’m not sure that the P2012 is a priority for FSS. They seem to be devoting more energy to their EJets and B727, etc. But, hopefully, we will get an update in due course.

The solution for using the P2012 in MSFS2024 is this: You have to try a second or a third time only by clicking on “New start”. Than you have it and can fly. I’m looking for bugs now. Perhaps it’s only possible to start on the runway, not cold and dark from a parking place…

Hello, yes it’s possible to fly the P2012 in msfs2024, but only from startpositions on the runway, not cold and dark. You can set the aircraft on the startposition and click “start flight”. During the loading you see a P2012-screen. When you click “clear to fly”, you can hear the aircraft on the runway, but you always see the screen. So now click “esc” and then “new start”. If you are lucky, now you see the aircraft and you can fly it without any problems, so far I see. But sometimes you have to go this way a third time, before you can fly. During the flight it’s possible to land and to shut down the aircraft-engines to cold and dark and after that to start it again from a parking position.
The developer announced on Discord that they are working on the Tecnams. I hope the native versions will be released soon.

The developer announced that they are “working on” the p2012 a very long time ago. Hopefully, they have not abandoned the aircraft. They seem to spend more time on their E-Jets.
No, i didn’t modify anything and I have no problems to start on a runway. It’s also possible with SU4. I’m using the P2012 version 1.0.8 (Aerosoft). I’ve loaded it into the community-folder and activated it. Until now I can’t find any bug. But it’s not possible to begin with a cold and dark-position. Later it’s no problem after landing and new starting from a parking-position.
Hi Nico, I have found the solution to get the Tecnam P2012 to work flawlessly in MSFS24. It takes a few steps and you do need to change one file but it will work.

First find this folder. It will be in your community folder: Community\fss-aircraft-tecnam-p2012\html_ui\Pages\VCockpit\Instruments\FSS_Tecnam_P2012\LoadingImages

Within this folder, open the “loadingimages.js” file with Notepad or Notepad++, whichever you have.
At the bottom of the file will be the lines:

Save the file and launch MSFS24 and the Tecnam P2012 and it should work straight away. This will bypass the add-on launching with the loading images. I hope this helps!
