Does anyone know how to remove these rocks and boulders that don’t exist. They seem to be everywhere
in the southeast US. I fly from KDNL in Augusta, Ga quite a bit and none of these giant rocks exist. They are also all over Key West KEYW also.
These effects seem to be ‘features’ of the photogrammetry processing and appear to a lesser or greater extent in all photogrammetry areas. We can only hope that in time whoever is processing this data to give the 3d imagery will get better at it…
You can turn off photogrammetry in the data options. If it’s an area you know, it will then probably look pretty generic; but if you’re not familiar, it can be good.
There has been loads of debate on the topic, this thread has some interesting comparisons between photogrammetry and autogen scenery:
If your on about the green blobs the only way to fix them is to go in the sdk and use the terraform tool and circle the block then it gets replaced with actual tree’s.
Problem is if the tree blob is close to a building, it well flatten the building too when using the terraform tool.
