So I’m approx level 125 in Career Mode now and never had so much frustration with a game (albeit with a bit of fun mixed in)
I have a plea to MSFS - Please REMOVE penalties until Career mode is stable. Its completely unplayable in some areas and the bugs end up setting you back HOURS if not Days. Some examples
Heart ES30 - Bought this after grinding my way through. My first fight with this aircraft automatically boarded the aircraft and skipped to Taxi, upon which the aircraft pitched up and crashed on its tail on the tarmac. Mission fail. Crash. Huge repair bill with no way to pay
Vision Jet - Being unable to shut the engine down (nothing works) occasionally meaning a flight is completely wasted
Lost literally millions in passive payments for insurance / crew that make no sense. I’ve had to go back to being an employee and grind my way back just to be able to move my plane to where a mission is.
Lack of missions in certain areas. I’ve defaulted to VIP missions at the moment and after delivering a plane to Queenstown, there are no missions available in this area, meaning I have to transport my airplane back to Europe to do missions at a cost of hundreds of thousands of credits
Skipping to Descent often puts me in the middle of a mountain with an insta-crash.
These aren’t just bugs, they are game breaking. Until these are fixed and career is more stable, I’d really like MSFS to kill off the penalty / crash system.
I don’t really care about a few free aircraft (although I thought the Jorg’s response was very good). I’d rather have credits for career mode that offset the frustration and allow the progress I should have had.
Please add this in as a wish and upvote if you agree.
Undesignated landing area (Runways sometimes get switched around on Final approach radio comms with sketchy landing strips)
Not contacting ATC for taxi to parking. (Touching grass on tiny runway, or overshoot due to being at a model airplane airport)
Not stopping at the hold short after landing. (Touching grass on tiny runway,or overshoot due to being at a model airplane airport)
I think that’s the main ones that are causing grief with career progression. The last 2 are mainly due to career missions heading to broken / remote airstrips. So far i’ve had 3 airports (mainly in britain) that seemed to be for model airplanes. Literally, not even sarcastic, even an empty 208 with low fuel and full power would not have been able to do a STOL on those.
Please disable these till they are working properly. provide a workaround to negate the penalties or, considering the online nature of the game, provide a CSR team that can edit profiles in the cloud and remove / compensate bug related penalties. It’s getting kinda silly.
I only fly the 737 in career mode and since the last update i’m finally able to fly flawless flights. Other aircraft can be more difficult because of certain bugs, but the 737 in career is very much playable now.
Landed the Longitude at KPBI, rolling out to a stop I go to exit the runway and see the blue box is back like halfway down the runway. I’m not going to turn around on the runway and taxi back just to exit where the sim wants. Just let us get off the runway wherever as long as it’s a taxiway, you know, like real life.
I still get the audio “our taxi speed is too fast captain, we should slow to adapted standards” whatever that means… This is at around 15-17 knots. Just set the limit at 30knots and leave it… Haven’t gotten a penalty with this but it’s annoying to hear especially with a jet like the longitude which can get up to 20+ at idle
Exceeding 250 KIAS below 10,000ft I know that is a rule, but if I get 251 due to turbulence I shouldn’t get dinged for it. It’s common for jets especially to set 250 but fluctuate a couple knots due to turbulence. If I get 260, give me a penalty, but 251 shouldn’t even have to be acknowledged
I’m assuming you assumed i bought the 737? I didn’t, i just fly the commercial airline missions. And yes, smaller airports can certainly be glitchy, luckily i haven’t encountered any trouble so far with the commercial airline missions.
