Please kindly remove all the unnecessary errors and system failure messages from the screen and move them to the notification tab in the EFB. Moving the messages out of the view would reduce distractions especially when about to land.
This issue has plagued MSFS 2020. In many occasions I counted the number of occurrence of the popular “No connection” and “connection is successful” messages. I stopped counting when it hit 50. Can you imagine how irritating this is for such a useless message. To make things worse, after some time it kept turning off map streaming which from client perspective is utterly wrong. A user setting should not be altered by the system as the client only should have authority to do that. Besides a proper dynamic retry policy could have been implemented to delay the connection for a while and then retry instead of manipulating the user setting.
Now this same notification plagues haven been carried forward to MSFS 2024. So far the most annoying one is the “Error loading live air traffic data” or something close. Such error is useless to the user especially in VR and these messages break immersion. So far I have counted over 30 message in one session - the question is WHY? Why do we need this message, well I couldn’t figure this out, perhaps someone here has a better explanation. The fact is we don’t need it. When we need the messages we can view them in the EFB.
Here is my proposed solution to this problem:
1 - Get rid of all these messages that litter and block the view
2 - If necessary move them to the NOTIFICATION tab in the EFB. The Tab should be coloured red or yellow as currently is to indicate there is a message.
3 - The notifications should appear under system and connection categories.
I hope this issue can be resolved as soon as possible.
