So what happens when you press CTRL-E,
Do the engines start?
No, stay at 1%, and the message repeats.
When that happens, does the crossfeed open (switch’s light come on)?
Yes it lights up.
OK, that should be the issue.
When that happens, turn the crossfeed off and try CTRL E.
You may have to do that a couple of times.
It is a bug.
I had that a few times with the A320.
Your explanation let me to the problem, I see that I can not activate the pumps. They keep lighting up ‘PRESS’,
Ok that is a problem. See this
There is an unassigned keyboard command to start the fuel pump.
If you are familiar with how to do that, I would try assigning it.
There is however, several commands that might do that, and it would be trial and error, to get one to work.
If you are unfamiliar with assigning, but want to try and see IF you can get this solved, I can show you how to do that.
Update:
Naw, doesn’t work, tried it myself.
My last straw is to return your settings all back to default, but that is a bigger job in this sim.
Good luck!
Nope didnt work. That is a real bummer. Seems like a bug.
hello any one managed to get the 787 engine going still got the problem of the fuel you lights lite up and you cant turn them on .so i cant get the engines going on it
As you can tell, this is a really tricky issue, I still haven’t heard of a good solution yet.
Just a couple of things to try that come to mind.
Have you completely emptied the community folder and then tried?
Did you try removing, then re-installing the 787?
Did you empty your rolling cache from the sim, and manual cache if you made one?
Is your Windows version fully updated?
What about your Microsoft Visual C++, do you have all the correct versions?
Try these and let us know how you make out!
I have got the Microsoft visual c++ done every thing still can’t press the pump buttons to on they are in yellow saying press but still can’t press them so no luck
Could this be VR related?
Have you tried without VR if so?
The only other thing I can think of, is to do a repair from the Window’s Apps and Features section.
In there, click on MSFS and you will see advanced options.
Did you try this Repair/Reset?
If not, do Repair first, then try sim, if no luck, try Reset.
Yes but I got it off steam not microform store
I don’t think that will make a difference.
I’ve had Steam users do this, I presumed they went to the “Apps and Features” section of Windows 10, but I’m not sure.
Did you check there?
I dont no were to look apart from on steam were I bought flights I’m 2020 from
It isn’t in the sim, it is your Window’s apps & features
Right click on the Window’s icon on the bottom left of your screen.
From that pop-up, at the top you will see Apps & Features.
In there, click on MSFS, that will bring up the advanced feature line.
Click on that.
You will then see the options.
all i have come up when i click microsoft flight simulator is uninstall but the modify is in grey nothing else
i do not have the option advance just one that says unistall and the modify is in grey no advance comes up
I should have done a search before I advised.

Take note of the cautions.
