For me, sometimes it feels like a strange situation in a garage with Asobo and Microsoft. You´re going to let change the car´s tire because it´s blown up, and afterwards when the mechanic is telling you he´s finished work, you step into your car and the engine is not starting anymore…

Same here. Update was fine and on starting the SIM I get the same message.

Same here in France.
Last time I ran MSFS, Steam did a quick update (including the redistributable package), then launch process began, I saw an image of London that wasn’t there before but it didn’t go through the “checking for update” step and as far as I know, there was no scenery update.
When the sim starts, it says I am offline, whatever I do (log out/log in, restart, …)
Seriously, widespread issue and you suggest we reboot. Gold Standard Support

Yes,no internet connection, rex weather crashing to desktop, and no FS real time weather…
UK update loaded fine, ran fine in early hours this morning now getting no internet connection warning.
Like many of your contributors think error messages could be a little more helpful.
After previous update had to disable Nord in order to get running scenery downloads.
Mind you when it works its VG.
The irony is they release an update that requires a download from the marketplace but no one can connect and download new scenery

Done that still didn’t fix it. Peed off that for the last hour I was assuming it was my end. Couldn’t be anything to do with Covid could it? Can Servers catch a virus ?
