I am getting it despite making absolutely no changes to my graphic settings, other than updating my Nvidia driver to 572.83. Also, shortly after I start a flight it CTDs, something that has never happened since I’ve been on 2024.
Does anyone know of a fix?
Thanks
This seems to be a new check feature for graphics which was lacking before. Most modern games have these checks because it helps you to understand whenever you ask too much of your hardware when running this game.
The “fix” for this would be to lower your graphics settings or upgrade your GPU.
Getting this error on 4090, 13900k, 64 ram. Have rarely gotten CTD before this in msfs- which sounds like I’m saying a lot. Crashes on load to airport. Haven’t been able to get into game yet with multiple attempts.
Just got this for the first time after adding my Community folder. I was using the C208 at KORD. Once it was moving to the airport, the message appeared. Renamed FSLTL folders but this did not help. Last night I tried the same thing. Got the message, the cursor was intermittently slow, then a CTD. I’m running a 5600x, 32GB, rx 6650 xt. It has never been a problem before. Also tried completely eliminating the Community folder and got the same result after a restart.
Update: AMD Adrenalin reports graphics are fine, getting about 190 fps with 8 ms frame lag with FSR2 and AFMF2.1 selected and medium to high settings with no CTD.
I don’t know if this is related to MSFS or, Nvidia new driver update 572.83, but i am assuming its more related to msfs, because i have rolled back the new NVidia driver and msfs still crashed. Turn off over clocking, made a few changes in NVidia control panel, removed and re- added NVidia frame gen , AMD frame gen, removed all NVidia and amd drivers, updated windows latest 2h11 update and its still crashing. Removed all caches but still crashes.
Doing an Event Viewer log pull, i got the following error below.
It appear that this dll is causing this issue, well to me that is “nvwgf2umx.dll”
Tried removing it but couldn’t even changing security permissions to myself but still cant get rid of it. when i do find the associated program via dwm.exe, i ended that task, but then it latches on to another task like “Explorer” which i obviously need for my Start button and taskbar icons.
Even tried different settings inside of msfs general graphics area with DLSS and DLSS frame gen on > DLSS and AMD Frame gen, turn off Frame gen, still crashed. Only one i have not yet tried is TAA, but i am not too optimistic
I dunno this one left me scratching my head, so i am really hoping this issue is on msfs end.
I also had this same issue with “nvwgf2umx.dll”, after uninstalling FSLTL and uninstalling the FSLTL injector i don’t get this crash anymore. Maybe it will help you (if you have FSLTL installed).
The message that keeps popping up is annoying: Resource usage exceeds GPU memory capacity, lower graphics settings for better perfomance, even when loading in light airports this message started to appear. I hope that it will be removed, as it really interferes with the flight. And this is on a top PC with medium simulator settings.
I’m getting the same message but only when I press escape in flight to bring up the menu, the sim completely freezes a few seconds later. In flight everything is smooth and frames are good.
I am also getting the same issue using fsr Gen. After couple of warning my whole pc crashes; only thing left on, the led light from the power button on my case. I got 64gb ram, rx7900xt, and ryzen 9 5900x. I’m crossing my fingers for this to be a dang bug bc it didn’t happen in su1 and I even changed my pc case thinking I was overheating the system causing the crash.
Getting this annoying message even on tests with no addon airports and just the Fenix A320. Running a 7800x3D with 3080ti and 64 Gb of DDR memory. What I do not understand is why the sim is automatically REDUCING most graphics settings to Low of Off. I am not using nVidia app or anything else to reduce settings on the fly
I keep getting this message too, the flight is otherwise fine, I have the recommended settings for a 4070 Ti, this message appears every five-ten minutes despite my frames being totally fine.
