After an update it resets to windowed. This prevents seeing loading bar and release notes button due to taskbar over window.
Agreed. Although you can hit ALT ENTER to quickly switch back to full screen to see those items, but most people don’t know this.
You can also just hit the window expand button in the top right (at least before that’s what I always did I haven’t loaded up this new update yet)
Looks like a behaviour intentionally implemented as per a previous request (see last comment from @Jummivana):
The intentionally implemented functionality you reference here was to go to windowed mode for the update process, which is fine. What hasn’t been implemented is for it to automatically switch back to full screen, if that’s what it was set to beforehand, after the update process is complete. This latter functionality would be good to have.
