I think during installation it asks what version you have, Store or Steam, and then an option for a manual content folder location. You can also change it in the settings.
To get back there, remove the profile.json.
I have exactly the same problem, everything worked fine until today. Now I am not able to register the Application.
Logged into my Rex Axis account and the Advanced addition is not in there anymore, something must have happened on their backend servers to cause this. Deleting the profile.json file does work for me as I canāt find the original order number, frustrating !!
I guess its a support ticket.
Ahhhh I chose the Windows Store option but my Community Folder is on my H Drive (SSD). I gues Iāll have to unistall and go again?
Donāt think you need to reinstall, just re-open the app and go into settings. The app does start minimised though and hides away in the overflow ^ thingy on the task bar so youāll have to open it from there.
I know they did this because of the way the older version of the app liked to steal focus when set to automatically update but I wish they did it better than this. Like have a separate exe for the automatic scheduled updates that does hide away but the main app you open via the icon just open properly and fully or something. It aināt very intuitive the way theyāve done it at the moment.
OK Iāll try closing and even restarting the PC. If you don;t hear any more itās a big thank you from me.
btw it might be more helpful if, instead of saying āSelect your flight simulatorā they said for better clarity 'We need to find your Community folder. Select your flight simulator for the default location or choose āCustom Community Locationā. But then, I can be a bit pedantic on commmunication
My profile.json was located in ā¦OneDrive/documents/Rex7/REX7 AccuSeason Advanced Edition/profile.jsonā¦
Would be the same on my work laptop, tjis is the cas ewhen you backup your documents to onedrive.
Logging in today and only says license not valid
I am not sure if that means I cannot make any changes for now or the application not woking.
Iād like to be able to submit a ticket, but when I go to REX Axis my password doesnāt work anymore. Also when I try to open the program itās now saying that my product cannot be validated whereas before it worked. Iāve deleted Accuseasons Advanced for now but as I can longer access REX Axis I canāt even download the original Accuseasons. Very frustrated.
Same case for me, worked yesterday, same message today.
It did this too me too, I couldnāt login to rex axis. I did a password reset, and was able to log a ticket

Summary: great product, unfortunately some update or license hurdles.
I managed to install, could have been easier to auto update from the old version, but finally managed.
New ground re-shading is a great add on, in addition to the wegetation updates.
As a whole, I am happy with the new product and would have paid something for the update, so good it is.
I think, in general, this is way too much hassle - look at this thread! Nothing but people talking about licensing issues instead of the product! Itās all about how horrible this upgrade has been. I know Rex folk are watching⦠this is an indication of how NOT to do future releases. I hope this is a learning experience for them. This should be about how good the world looks now⦠and it does! I think the product itself is GREAT! I just wish thatās what the main subject of this thread could have been instead of all this nonsense.
so it sounds like most of the folks who make it over the license / account / serial hurdle are not having problems with the software? i have had one flight using it where it didnāt ctd (loaded in at a payware airport). outside of that, i can load into the plane and within a few seconds, WHAMMO! ctd.
fortunately i also have the bijan pack so i can just skip this all together but itās a little frustrating.
Mines working again now ( crosses fingers) i a had forgotten to uninstall previous version . so uninstalled everything and reinstalled advanced version and did same register as i did before see if it lasts
Mine lost license after 2 days and multiple reboots. Fix worked. Letās see if it lasts.
I just uninstalled both and reinstalled advanced but still complains my license is invalid.
