Can you maybe provide a link for us?
what is your resolution? I am using 4086 4K

Read the whole thread to get the gist of what I finally did to get my 3090 running well. My CPU is overclocked, so keep that in mind. Skip
I just got fed up of the low frame rates. I just ordered 64 gb (32x2) 4000 mhz Ram to go with my PC. Do you think that this was a good choice?
I doubt higher ram speed is going to make much of an impact. Some people claim this is a lot bigger deal than it really is. 3200 mhz is fine.
Disable the VFR map from your menu at the top of the screen. That eats FPS even when the VFR map is not even open.
Go to the custom toolbar and unselect VFR Map
It made a huge difference . I had 3000 mhz 32 gb after enabling XMP and then getting 5 fps more easily. That is why I am going to 4000mhz now and 64 GB
Exactly what i said long time ago
What was your ram running at before 3000 mhz enabling XMP? From what Iâve seen there is diminishing returns once you start going above 3200 mhz.
2600mhz . There is a 5fps improvement. So do you think I did the right thing by going to 64GB and 4000Mhz ?
How do we disable that ? just need to press v or close that window right ?
Did you check, that your MB and your CPU is capable of running a 4000MHz RAM?
32GB is more then enough, RAM speed is important, but the main problem atm., is that the multithreading of MSFS isnât really using all cores.
I think this RAM will not help you, you will maybe gain 2 or 4 FPS, but only if the rest of your hardware is compatible with a 4000MHz RAM stick.
I have a ASUS ROG Stix B550 F and 5900x Ryzen
I think I mentioned it was 1440p.
No you will need to actually deselect the VFR map option in the custom toolbar menu.

I also get these very annoying freezes in the LA area. Whatâs strange is that the FPS is for the most part fine (30-40 range), but the stutters are frequent
Right here: â65 inch screen and 4k resolution at 4096X2160â. Corvette engine dropped into a diesel Mack truck.
Yea everyone is getting those. There is not a single CPU on the market at the moment that can cope with the calculations that are needed for the simulator. Even the best CPU will eventually hit a bottleneck at some point and cause some stutters. Hopefully in the next couple years we will get some CPUs on the market that can finally get rid of them.
Remove the fbw mod and just try the stock 320 to see the huge difference in fps and frametime stability. There is something bugged with it but youâre no helping things by using 2048 shadows & ultra tbh. Even top end hardware wonât really cut it at 4k & ultra if youâre after 60 fps or near it. Faster RAM will not âfixâ anything, bad advice for the miniscule gains you might see.
Thatâs not that true. The limiting factor is a DX11 based multithreading. New CPUâs should be able to calculate everything fast enough for MSFS, maybe there will be 1 or 2 percent bottle necking.
My CPU is utilized 70 percent while playing and is blocking the GPU, never saw someone getting his CPU running at ~100%. Nowadays CPUâs are fine with MSFS, if it will be optimized in the future.
