Just been testing my setup to be ready for transfer to a new PC and found the graphic card runs at 6% with DX12 but 100% with DX11. I am struggling to know why. Everything works well and the FPS went up to 40 from 30. Has anyone any ideas?
DX12 setting has the word “Beta” at is end … and we know that DX12 setting cause in some case lower performance or also crashs.
Also be sure that you choose in taskmanager the correct rendering engine to check the gpu load ( example )… I assume a 2070 can not reach 30fps with 6% usage…
Thank you for that it explains a lot. I will check that later. I am getting 40 fps in DX12 and 55 in DX11 with all set to Ultra that is why I am puzzled. With 1920x1080 on 3 32" screens. One screen for MSFS one for LNM and one for PFD MFD pull outs.
Checked task manager again and set copy to graphic1 and indeed found it running at 98%. Switched back to DX11 and it went to zero with normal read out at 98%. I tried the beta as test and it seems OK in cities but loses depth in country areas. Back to DX11 until fuller implementation.
