Ryan navion from twin peaks fire walk with me

why nobody do that? i got closest stuff is p149. but it is not the same thing
i mean with original cockpit close to real almost or perfect quality:) aeroplane heaven was so close with swift:(

For a plane to get made for the sim, it needs to either be popular enough to make money as payware, or just have someone be a big enough fan of it to make one as a passion project.

There’s lots of more famous planes than the Navion that haven’t been made for the sim yet. You could always start learning 3d modeling.

no more famous than david lynch movie aircraft lol

De Havilland Comet, any Learjet, Curtiss Jenny, Lockheed Vega, Boeing 707, Boeing 727, Aeronca Champ and all its descendants, Cessna 180/185…

Those are just off the top of my head and excluding purely military aircraft… All much more famous than the Navion and not available for the sim yet. It’s cool if you like the Navion, I am a fan of some fairly obscure aircraft that probably won’t ever get rendered for the sim too, but if you’re realistic the Navion wouldn’t make any list of most famous planes.

If appearing in movies was the criteria then there have been planes in way more popular movies than FWWM, why don’t we have the Stampe SV.4 from Indiana Jones yet?

because sv.4 didn’t starring in david lynch universe:)

I’m not going to say that its inclusion in a David Lynch movie (which was a total failure at the box office) doesn’t matter to anybody but you, but it probably doesn’t matter to very many.

If this is that important to you… see my earlier comments about passion projects and learning 3d modeling. Nothing is stopping you from putting in an effort to make this happen yourself instead of expecting someone else to make it happen for you.

There actually IS a Navion available for MSFS…

It’s pretty terrible aesthetically, to be frank, but it’s more than you’ve done and more than what a lot of fans of niche aircraft will ever get.

no no, in the movie was vanilla vintage… not this one:) are you serious about the box office? lol. actually i not know much about aviation. just would love to got all aircraft from movie i love. for sure i seen that good model in youtube, but this is not what i want. it’s very interesting must be about popularity or who want it else. but not for me lol. just curiously why not:) popularity as i mention is good point. but i’d ignore it. as do about all another stuff. because i super ordinary person, must be most ordinary on the planet lol. so if i like it. so i think minimum 500 person in msfs community would like this too… may be they better be take camel of dr1 or bf109 or some boeing. i’d like them too. if boeing is modern military heli:) i’d like touch ho229 and do335. and any of fighter’s formfactor what was exist or planed:) but right now i try to motivation developers for ryan navion, and you spoil everything lol

The movie made $4M at the box office on a $10M budget so yes I’m serious.

A “super ordinary person” has never heard of a North American Navion. Even the average casual aviation enthusiast hasn’t. Your “500 people minimum” figure is a complete guess and commercial developers with bills to pay have to pick their projects with more care than that.

I’m not trying to “spoil” anything, you asked why and I’m giving you honest, realistic answers.

o.k. but ordinary person, not so ordinary like me, but enough for got exactly this aircraft for 25-70$ i think 500 it’s minimum:)

i think, most of us buy aircraft for know about it, not because they do yet lol. your point is very understandable, but too skeptical and from certain type of people. i think people have more random motivation to got something than you think. just think again:) i sure you’ll see is my point more common and ordinary lol

I should know what this topic is about but I think I missed something about 30/40 years ago?

There was a Ryan Navion featured briefly on the movie Fire Walk With Me, which was a prequel to the TV series Twin Peaks created by David Lynch, and OP wants a Navion for the sim apparently purely because he is a fan of the work of David Lynch.

I take it you know that you can at least get the airfield -1WA6, Fall City, Washington by Orbx.

Some comparison shots:

No animated cousin Lil though, unfortunately.

It’s located just downstream from the Snoqualmie Falls and Salish Lodge, a.k.a. the Great Northern Hotel.

The airfield is really handy for sightseeing over Seattle, just to the west.

I had a work trip out at Redmond and made a special trip over to the falls ( my colleague was a huge Twin Peaks fan ) Rented a seaplane and did a flight over the falls on a following trip

Didn’t know the scene was filmed at Fall City… I’ve had both versions of the Orbx airport - FSX/MSFS. I think the FSX/P3D version actually had particle effects for the falls.

As far as the Navion… I’ve been around aviation my entire life and I had to go look it up. It’s super niche… as is the movie

I actually like Lynch films. But I was working 3 jobs, going to college full time and dating a bit when Twin Peaks was a thing. So I missed out.

The airplane does look cool. It looks like a cross between a P-51, Cherokee, and a VW Beetle.

The North American NA 145 Navion maybe is not popular, but is very relevant because was designed and produced by North American Aviation, having the general lines of the P-51 Mustang.

The rights were sold to Ryan and after several changes are owned by the company Sierra Hotel Aero:
