Is this the Vertical Simulations third party scenery for Bradenton?
The bridges are a well-known Wishlist item unless VS did specific work to address them with hand-crafted polygons.
It’s sea level rise, due to polar ice caps melting.
I meant that in jest, but it just shows how a small rise in sea level can inundate a low lying area.
KSRQ is my home base and after SU5 I noticed the bridges in Tampa Bay (Gandy, Howard Franklin) are now under water for me (noticed on 2 departures from SRQ to the north). Pretty sure these weren’t this bad before. I was doing landings at MacDill with the raptor a few weeks ago and don’t remember seeing that.
Unfortunately that’s a common problem with PG areas. Water is at its highest possible level pretty much everywhere in the sim. Seasonal lakes filled, river deltas overflowing, pacific islands drowning. A sign of things to come…
Asobo is thinking of implementing tides. I guess that would be a good time to look at global water levels as well.
Asobo implementing Tides is a really good idea, I also would love to see waves splashing on rocks, or boulders plus sea spays plus sea birds.
Maybe some developer has already created a global AI Ocean with many types of waves, spays, and sea birds.
