Satisfying Alternative's to 'Real' Flight

Last night i was doing some Flying in DCS with a mate. He was in an F 14 and i was trying my best to Take off in my Harrier.
After several Huge explosions and a couple of succesful landings later we got a Cry for Help on TeamSpeak from a fellow Naval Action player who was being ambushed outside a Home Port. We quickly left DCS and re emerged into the World of Naval Action to find that our Shipmate had avoided the Encounter. We got talking about MFS2020 and DCS and this Guy said that playing MFS2020 had inspired him to take up Fixed Wing Training. The cost of ‘Real’ Flying then became the topic of conversation and this made me appreciate what Asobo, DCS, X Plane and other great Sim’s are giving to the majority of people who could never afford to Fly.
It also made us consider the Satisfying Alternatives to the Flying Money Pit and later in the evening i spotted this You Tube Vid. What attracted me to the Post was the Aircraft that was featured which seems to be a cross between our beloved MFS2020 MB 339 and an Alpha Jet.
Thank’s to Asobo we have an affordable alternative to the Aviation Money Pit and this Guy has most definitely found his.

There’s an expression that says “If it flies, floats, or ■■■■■, rent it.” (The censored word is a synonym for “fornicates”.) There’s a good reason that expression exists. But even renting airplanes makes a computer flight sim hobby look like spare change found in a couch by comparison.
