Looking for recommendations for paid or unpaid seabase addons in colder areas of the world (Alaska, Norway, etc) that allow you to start in the water at a dock for passenger pickup. I’ve been having a hard time finding much in the way of this.
Anyone have any good recommendations with this criteria?
thanks, will give it a look

Are you familiar with the “Return to Misty Moorings” add on? It adds details to a number of Alaskan and British Columbia, Canada seaplane bases. I used it quite a bit in 2020 and quite enjoyed the visuals, but I never really tried it in 2024 as it was not updated to be 2024 compatible.
HOWEVER
After seeing your post I decided to check it out again and it appears that it has VERY recently been updated to work with 2024. As in this month recently. I have just downloaded the new files but, seeing as I am in the middle of a halfway-across-the-world flight, I likely won’t get to checking it out for a while. I can say that the 2020 version looked quite nice and improved quite a few bases.
In addition to me not having looked at the 2024 version to enable me to express an opinion, I see two further concerns based on your initial post:
- Only covers Alaska and BC, not Scandinavia or anywhere else
- You mentioned loading passengers. While I was able to start at docks in 2020, I never tried loading passengers as that is not something I do. So I unfortunately do not know if Misty Moorings has that functionality. My sense is that their focus is purely on scenics, so I suspect that kind of functionality might not be modelled.
This is a free add on. Their website is HERE As is quite prevalent these days, their downloads are via Discord. Maybe take a look to see if it meets at least part of your needs?

many thanks, will check this out. regarding passengers, it’s more make-believe than seeing actual people load the plane. but was more looking for if it would even be possible for people to like walk from the land down the dock and to the plane in the correct docking position. that kind of stuff. my imagination can take over from there.
If you use GSX and know your way around profile-creating, you may be able to do that.
