Hi Bijan, I believe you should better undo some of your mod’s changes for SimUpdate 2. I guess you are aware of this, but if not, just let me give you a specific example:
This is the view from the watchtower of Okaukuejo camp (Etosha NP, Namibia, 19°10’43.35"S, 15°55’8.39"E) through the main gate towards East in real life. Taken on Feb. 28th, 16:30 local time. It’s the end of the rainy season and vegetation is thus fully developed. This image is as close as I can offer to “how it looks from air”. Gives a pretty good impression of the vegetation with grass, some shrubs, low trees (usually <10m height).
You might want to zoom in to the background, I have uploaded it in full resolution.
Now the comparison (same date and time):
^^^Vanilla FS 2024 SimUpdate 1. Not bad although the trees are a tad oversized imho. The color of the imagery doesn’t fit this time of year but this is out of scope.
^^^Vanilla FS 2024 SimUpdate 2 Beta. As close as it can get, vegetation wise. Maybe trees could still be smaller (but not less of them).
^^^FS 2024 SimUpdate 2 Beta + Seasons Enhanced. Looks way too bare.
My guess is: Now that SU2 Beta corrected the vegetation and trees, your mod on top of that overshoots the desired effect, thus I much prefer the look without it in this area.
Note that Etoshas has a pretty diverse flora, three are bare areas, large grass savannas, shrub areas and light low forests and I have just shown a single example, so the conclusion might not be universally valid, especially not on the Etosha Salt Pan.
