I’d like to change all my joystick sensitivity settings back to 0%. I’m trying to do that by moving the sliders, but I can’t get them to stop on 0%. They’re always a little bit plus or minus. How can I get them to stop on 0%?
I’d like to know that as well.
If I remember correctly the numbering increments wrong, it goes like
-2, -1, 1, 0, 2
or the other way around.
You can also edit the files by hand if the UI is messing you around:
C:\Users\user\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\SystemAppData\wgs
There is another folder beneath this, which I didn’t include, as it may be different from install to install. For example, the full path to the file which has the settings for my rudder pedals is:
C:\Users\user\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\SystemAppData\wgs\00090000025CC6EC_00000000000000000000000069F80140\A27A2D0A75B24ABD8A3E6D6BDA6FBF03\95FD1F7D67FC44B084A15872E840848E
Inside, you can tweak the settings manually. I would imagine it would be fairly easy to break things here by entering values the UI would not let you.
<Axes>
<Axis AxisName="X" AxisSensitivy="0" AxisSensitivyMinus="0" AxisNeutral="0" AxisDeadZone="0"/>
<Axis AxisName="Y" AxisSensitivy="0" AxisSensitivyMinus="0" AxisNeutral="0" AxisDeadZone="0"/>
<Axis AxisName="rZ" AxisSensitivy="-29" AxisSensitivyMinus="-29" AxisNeutral="0" AxisDeadZone="0"/>
</Axes>
You just have to have a really steady hand (or use BOTH hands to make microscopic movements) It IS possible, but typically not that easy.
Once you set it – leave it alone – the difficulty in setting it back to Zero is a great incentive not to keep messing with it !!!
Yikes! sensitive little bugger
I finally got them all back to 0%. On some sliders the zero was out of place. Also, it seemed like if I opened and closed the Settings, the zero’s would appear more often.
NO … there are just more things that have “Secousses”
Go into the Control Panel and pull up the old-style mouse control. Turn the mouse pointer speed down to its lowest. Turn it back up when you’re done.
With my PXN2119 no problem!
Not really, you get used to it, I think it improves my rudder control, kind of forcing me to, and certainly makes it easier to take tighter turns on taxi.
