It ripped my sim off. ALL the configs are gone. Three plus days to set all again. Terrible. Never happened before.

PC user here in CT, USA. What in Dog’s Name happened.?
First, freezes after Black Shark splash, then later a screen with a EULA, then a crazy UI with enlarged fonts and sub-windows.
Then all my settings for EVERYTHING - Graphics, Assists, etc. went to Default AND my HOTAS settings and rudder pedal settings Disappeared!
It will be days before I can reassign the control settings even though I have records of what they should be.

There MUST be a Way to save at least the config files local !!!

I am sure that they will be able to bring it all back given a little time. I’m sure they have backups of backups.

I think this may have worked. I just logged in and everything was wiped out and the sim acted like it was starting from scratch. Finally got back to main menu, logged out and in, and I can see my logbook, hours, and control profiles. I did have to toggle back to my profiles as they started on default.
What a wild few hours.
Edit: some graphics settings and other general options were reset to default. At least I have my mappings though.

Quit the game, wonder how (more) broken my account will be after this is ‘fixed’ !

My daughter made me check every 10 minutes for an hour. Up in DC Metro area
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND going in your Xbox app, under support run the repair tool before daring to start MSFS
