Server update

Hi all, has anyone heard any further or witnessed improvements regarding servers? It’s been unplayable for me since update. Msfs officially have recognised the issue but heard nothing since. Thanks.

Every time there is a new version of MSFS released we’re plagued with"problems" about poor servers.
C’mon guys’n gals, there’s now a few million gamers all trying to download quite a hefty release and MS are not going to invest millions in extra servers for something that only lasts a day or two. Patience!

Well Microsoft seem to feel that the problem was resolved yesterday.

Ok I get that but perhaps some communication from Msfs team to outline the issue and to put those effected mind’s at ease. A vague announcement two days ago and nothing since doesn’t cut the mustard I’m afraid. Particularly when we are paying for it. Granted, much work has gone into this major update and it is clearly going to be great once it works, but come on lads, to not for-see this coming and lack of communication ain’t a good sign.

I was able to download the update this morning, but now it can’t sign in to servers so I’m playing in offline mode. No weather, no photogrammatry. Hopefully will resolve itself.

Check that offline mode is switched off in Data. I updated ok and then there was no access to marketplace and I was offline. It happened in the update I suppose. Hope you get sorted.

Yes, that turned out to be the case. Really weird because I was able to fly briefly online after the update, but then there was a crash and when I restarted was faced with the safe mode/normal option. I chose normal but apparently data was disabled after that. Seems to work now.

I’m unsure if this is the location for this, however, I wanted to see if anyone else is experiencing significant lag since the recent update(s). Prior to the update last week, I was achieving around 60FPS while cruising around the world. Now, post-update, my FPS is hovering at or below 20 with occasional drops to 1. I’ve ensured data settings are where they need to be, so I’m unsure if it correlates to the update or not.

Ahh man they’ve really chuffed this update up good and proper. So many users still having a nightmare. I think we as a loyal community deserve answers on this. It’s utterly hideous and really poor from the guys at Msfs office

Thank you, Data changed to offline for me also without my knowledge.

No difference for me, game runs fine, just like it did prior to the SU11 download. As a side note, the “Internet connection lost” issue, is mostly gone for me as well. Since SU11, I’ve only had it happen one time.

I wouldn’t mind betting that we are on the same servers as the entire Xbox library. Highly doubtful that FS is on it’s own server farm… though it probably should be for what it does.

Not that MS owes us any explanation whatsoever, but it’d be interesting to know how that’s set up none the less.
