There are a number of “online” games that can, and do, communicate live with the player base at login and or in-game via message windows, etc.
Yes, MSFS can be played in offline mode and/or with no Internet connection, however I’d wager that a miniscule amount of users use the sim that way.
Why not implement an in-game status window on the Welcome screen for 2024? Or even get really clever and have ATC make an announcement via Azure that there is a current issue. (Provided Azure isn’t the issue, ha!)
