It takes 5 controller buttons or switches to have 8 trim commands
The 8 commands:
aileron left slow, right slow, left fast, right fast.
rudder left slow, right slow, left fast, right fast
5 switches (buttons):
aileron right, aileron left, rudder right, rudder left.
and a fast/slow selector button (Axis and Ohs calls this a suppress button).
For the 4 fast commands do this in Axis and Ohs.
1 Select a command to assign (aileron trim left or aileron trim right or rudder trim left or rudder trim right),
2 Check the Fast box
3 Check the Repeat box
(this will trim fast and will keep on repeating the trim command as long as you hold down the key or button; i.e. fast and repeating).
4 select a controller button to issue one of those 4 commands.
5 select an “assigned combo” button (this will be the fast or slow button which is used in combination with the trim button).
6 do NOT check the “suppress” box.
For the 4 slow commands:
- 1 Select a command to assign (aileron trim left or aileron trim right or rudder trim left or rudder trim right), (Same 4 commands as above)
2 Check the Slow box
3 Do NOT check the repeat box
(will trim slow and only trim exactly one tiny increment each time you push the button no matter how long you hold the button). This is great for teeny tiny trimming steps!
4 select a controller button to issue one of the 4 commands. (these will be the exact same buttons as above).
5 select an “assigned combo” button (the exact same combo button as above)
6 Check the “suppress” button !
( In the game, pressing the suppress button will nullify all of these slow commands, they will do nothing). But they will do something (i.e. trim slow) if the suppress button is not held down.
To use: you have 4 trim buttons rudder left, rudder right, aileron left, aileron right. And one combo suppress button (i.e. the speed selector button).
To trim:
1: hold down the suppress button (so the slow trim doesn’t happen) and trim fast the rudder or aileron either left or right (i.e. use one of the 4 trim buttons). Just get the trim close, the trimming will be fast.
2 Release the suppress button and keep tapping the same button. Now the trim will change very very little each tap. Enabling you to get it perfect if there is no wind blowing.
