After loading the new update, I noticed that all of my settings were back to what I would assume is default. Not good, but yet another hurdle to jump. I changed them all and had a few flights. A few minutes ago, I started another flight and got the Notifications and POIs which I had earlier turned off. I went back into Settings, and sure enough, everything was back to default again. Anyone else? I hope it’s just me.

Check your usercfg file isn’t read only? Haven’t loaded a second flight yet to see if I’m affected.
Mine reset too.
how is this classed as solved?
mines were reset at first start after the update but are saved since then, did multiple restarts already.
never had them reset before but today was a biggie as it reset nearly everything , just checking to see if they have stuck
Yes, same here..somewhat.
I jumped right into a C172 and discovered that I had NO NOSEWHEEL steering.
All other flight controls were OK but to steer off the runway was a disaster.
Same for me. Checked my settings and everything is the same as before the update. Now there is no rudder repsonse once landed and on the runway.
and they had Several Hundred Testers checking this update ???

It’s not. But they’re gonna close the thread anyway since it’s been reported as a bug.

I just had this too: FS was sitting there in main menu after one of several flights in the same session when it suddenly showed a notification that an update for a 3rd-party airport was available in my Content Manager. I downloaded that update, went back and started another flight - all Assistance settings were now reset to “Easy”, after I had to change this back already after installing SU7, with several sessions and a few reboots in between.
The same (Assist settings) seemed to happen pre-SU7 every time I tried a discovery flight, but never after a 3rd-party content update I think.
This doesn’t just happen with sim settings. It also happens with the date and time, and weather settings on the world map page too. It has been like this since day one and is infuriating.
I remember trying to set up a weather scenario and got everything how I wanted it, only to see in the sim, it just reverted back to few clouds… I just don’t get how they can screw up the UI and menus so badly. Like they have to be trying to make it this bad. lol

Dev. mod resets my assistance settings to all Easy. This is how I normally have them set:
Annoyingly, it didn’t do it this time. Just trying to work out what process sets them to Easy. It’s definitely dev. mode, but I’m trying out varaitions of spawning with it on at the map screen, or off when spawned, then turned on when in the cockpit.
My settings reset each time I tried the Miramar landing challenge in the F18. Absolutely everything went back to ‘easy’.
