Does anyone know what’s the problem here? My sim usually runs smoothly, but recently I’ve been experiencing issues. Takeoff is smooth and normal. but severe lagging begins at the latest when I approach destination airport. There’s now some lagging in cruise as well, sometimes more, sometimes less. But it get’s worse during descent. As soon as the aircraft slows down on the runway, the stuttering stops or at least decreases. I have never had issues before, and the simulator has always run smoothly.
I’ve also noticed that the main menu lags quite a lot, especially when selecting the departure airport on the map. Actually, few times the sim has also completely frozen for about 10 seconds and then continued. I don’t really know what could be the problem.
I have almost the same problem here. The flight is smooth, but as soon as I approach for landing, There are some kinds of micro stutters or lag for a few times then it also diminish or vanish when I’m landed. however, I don’t have this problem in the menus. I have tried different set up for the graphics like lowering the settings, but it didn’t change a thing.
My set up is AMD Ryzen seven 5800 X with a GeForce RTX 4070 TI super and 32 GB of RAM.
Exactly the same problem(s) here. And NOTHING has changed on my end except for the last update. The sim is now running WORSE than ever. 10+ minute load times, and CTD when exiting the sim. Menus are sluggish, sound glitches in and out, stutters and micro-pauses on landing that make ILS approaches basically impossible. This occurs with ALL the default and add-on aircraft (PMDG, A32NX), etc. What in the BLAZES did they do here?
I don’t know, but it seems to me things are getting worse and worse.
Jatkis, all those issues are happening on my end as well. I even thought I may have picked up a virus or malware, but nope–my system is clean and I have two active protection modes that scan my system in real-time.
All these problems started within the last week or so. It literally went from running fine to an absolute dogshow overnight.
I am “happy” to see I am not alone with this. I returned to MSFS after a 6+ month hiatus - and with a PC upgrade, hoping for an unparalleled experience.
I replaced my 10-years old i7 6700K CPU with the Intel Core i9-14900KF (Raptor Lake-S) Socket LGA1700 Processor, got a new gaming motherboard and upgraded from 32 GB DDR4 RAM to 64 GB DDR5 RAM. Oh, and bought an SSD so MSFS no longer runs on a HDD.
And yet… my experience is worse than ever. Again, I just returned to MSFS a few days ago but this is not how it ran back in the summer, with my old system. I never had stutters, but now airports like EGLL, CYYZ, KJFK are no-go areas. The stutter on approach and landing is unbearable, and I also noticed lag/stutters when panning. None of these existed before.
Since the MSFS 2024 launch my MSFS 2020 has become virtually unplayable. I never had any serious problems with MSFS 2020 prior to this except for the occasional bugs that were introduced with updates and subsequently sorted. I run on a RTX3080, 32Gb Ram, i9 processor, SSD drives for MSFS etc and have a stable 500Mb fibre optic network connection. I run the game on a 2K monitor with most settings at ultra and get a steady minimum of 30fps even in built up areas like New York . Since the MSFS 2024 launch I am down to around 15fps no matter where I am flying, I have constant stutters every 10 seconds or so, scenery does not load in and I am stuck on the UK server with no option to change server. Even zooming in on the world map whilst selecting a flight is a problem. I’ve tried reducing all of my settings and even switching to a 1080p display output but I get the same results. I refuse to believe that it is a coincidence that these problems have started on the exact day that MSFS 2024 launched. They obviously have server issues and it would appear that MSFS 2020 has been sacrificed in order to squeeze the money train that is MSFS 2024. For my part, I have no desire to upgrade (from the many videos I have watched MSFS 2024 looks like a cartoon show) and I just want the 2020 version to go back to where it was before the 2024 launched. I doubt this will happen though. We’ve been taken for fools.
So i would have lag on takeoff and delay and lag on landing. I deleted the rolling cache folder not in msfs but on windows then took off and it was smooth then i climbed to about 7,000 feet then nose dived and landed on a runway and there was no problems. I don’t have time to do a full flight but i am going to do one tmr and i will let you k ow how it goes.
some specs 3080rtx i7 16gb ram and etc bps blah blah try deleting the rolling cache folder and see what happens
